God is more powerful than the enemy, so no matter what Satan hears, I am safe. I've been saved and it cannot be taken away from me. So what harm is Satan going to do? If God's will be done, Satan isn't going to get in the way of anything.
I used to think this and then I wondered, "if God was so powerful, why did he allow his enemies to toy with his people so much?" Personally, I think God and Satan are like football players on the much larger picture that is the Universe and just like in football, sometimes they score and sometimes they have penalties and we are their referees. As they really do not control our life, as much as we control our own. Yet, some of just are such big fans of the game, that it would seem they do.
