If you had the power to straighten out the many problems facing humankind here on earth, if you had all the money, power and humanpower at your finger tips, how would you rule? Any answers welcome, even humor filled responses.

A few things: Walmart sure as hell wouldn't like what I would do to them. Neither would a lot of other big businesses. I don't like it when a few companies have ALL the money. I am such more of a socialist when it comes to natural resources. Wow, now that I think of it, I could go on for quite a while on this topic, but I don't want to bore you all.

It won't bore me. Be sure to self edit and use paragraphs if it's a long post.

Good question!
Now, if "ruled the world" means that I had absolute control over everyone , then I'd demand that everyone treat every other one they way they'd themselves want to be treated...and the laws of my kingdom would be just that simple.
However, to be fully just in that respect, I'd also have to have total control over everything , so that no-one was deprived of what they personally needed, and were thus enabled to treat others as they would themselves like to be treated.
Thus, no hurricanes, earthquakes, tornadoes, wars, recessions, depressions, revolutions, mosquitoes, locusts, ebola-plague...nothing unpredictable or preventable, that would disrupt day-to-day life.
Sounds like Paradise!

Nothing. JWs aren't the only people in history to dream of Utopia. Remember the song Imagine by John Lennon? I felt the way he did, when I was a kid and I felt like when he said, "I hope someday that you'll join us. And the world can live as one." I felt like I was one of the "us" he mentioned.

No, I couldn't type that much. I will say that I like things to be efficient. I hate waste. I hate things getting tied down in red tape. I like personal freedoms. I like people doing what they want with their lives. No handouts for lazy people but always a need for social programs. I hate mass amounts of disposible things being made, i.e. all you car companies, make cars that last. Lets get to work on some different energy sources then oil.

Spec, I agree about the cars. I'd make it a law that all cars have to be so safe that it would be impossible to be killed in a car accident. The cars would last lifetimes and the tires would never wear out.
Being judgmental would be a huge taboo. Anyone guilty of it would be made to walk a mile in the other person's shoes.

I would abandon National boundaries, eliminate nationalism , work towards having everybody see themselves as citizens of the world. Then pool resources of various medical research centres so they work together not in competition. Lets have one world language so we understand each other better.
I could go on.. How did that old song go ? "What we need is a great big melting pot, big enough to take the world and all we got......"
That'l do for starters.

Oh, and animal santuaries. Lots of those. And anyone caught poaching one of the last of the white rhinos because the ground up horn will make his pecker hard will be shot immediately.
