I agree with mdb. I know of no evidence in the Bible to support the "Paradise Earth" doctrine. And even if there were, I would still be skeptical as I don't consider the Bible to be a very reliable document if taken from a literal point of view. The truth is that we are all created in the image and likeness of God and no one is going to be lost. A more likely scenario is that this entire universe will dissappear when we realize that we have only been dreaming that we are separate and apart from our Creator. In the story of the Prodigal Son, it says that when he found himself in really dire straits "HE CAME TO HIS SENSES". Hopefully we will do the same in the very near future.

    but the feeling is mutual.

I am sure that it is.

There is just way to [sic] much EVIDENCE in the bible, that the Paradise Earth is REAL. How can you just dismiss it?

You know the answer to that, I think. If I believed anymore that the bible was the literal Word of God, I probably wouldn't so easily dismiss it.

But after a while of reading other holy books (supplimented with books on topics such as psychology, physics, world history, biology, etc.), one begins to realize that at their core, they're all the same (the "holy books"). I see what appears to be a core of truth at the center of all of them, but with all this surrounding... garbage, just made up stuff, fantasies. Outside of bible scripture, there is no evidence that some future Paradise Earth is coming.

As I have said, and many others, you cannot use a text to prove itself. A very valid comparison would be this:

    1. I tell you that I am the Word of God. I write a book.
    2. I then tell you that we exist inside a big Christmas ball on a tree in Xenu's living room. This is written in the book.
    3. When asked to prove 2. above, I refer to my holy book. "See? It says so right there!"

This would of course be ridiculous, but this is precisely the situation with all holy books that say "this is it. This is the Truth and nothing else is". The only part of the above that may be proven (and even that may be debatable) is that "we exist"... "I am".

The only religion I've found to be any different perhaps is Buddhism. And it's more of a philosophy of how to be happy in life anyway, than a religion.

athiest Michael Newdow's efforts to have "In God We Trust" removed from US currency? I guess this question could include the 10 commandments being displayed on public building issue, or removing reference to God from the Pledge of Allegiance.

I guess if I was gun-hoo for the government..I might care....To tell you the truth...I don't think GOD cares!
