Jeez, so now they need a blow by blow accounting ?LOL serendipity.
I promise only to do it once miss peaches :-d
That's like saying you'll only eat one potato chip.
Greed can manifest itself in love of money, desire for power or gain, or voraciousness for food and drink, sex, or other material things.
Does this mean that they are going to disfellowship ALL of the fat witnesses? Witnesses that don't live in mobile homes, or ghettoes, or barrios? Witnesses that own expensive clothes? Witnesses that are well-off (I can see them saying "Give your money to the organzation and follow me")?
it-1 pp. 1005-1006 Greed ***So with the ability to use 'greediness' as a reason for disfellowshipping I take it the list of offences can include:Greed can manifest itself in love of money, desire for power or gain, or voraciousness for food and drink, sex, or other material things. The Scriptures warn Christians against this degrading trait and command that they should avoid association with anyone calling himself a Christian "brother" who practices greediness. (1Co 5:9-11) Greedy persons are classed with fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, men kept for unnatural purposes, thieves, drunkards, revilers, and extortioners, and indeed, greedy persons generally practice some of these things. If an individual does not turn away from his greediness, he will not inherit the Kingdom of God.—1Co 6:9, 10.
- money ( who determines how much is greedy?) including pensions
- any managerial employment or education at college etc., since either of those are most clearly for financial gain and power
- obesity, gluttony (might there be spies at the buffet table?- food is difficult to prove so might they use what they see to determine the offence)
- material possessions like having a boat, more than one vehicle, a cottage, anything that might be used for leisure activity since you should have no leisure time and you should have no money for those things regardless...
Not all uncleanness necessitates judicial action. Per Ephesians, 4:19, there must be "greediness" associated with the "uncleanness" to warrant judicial action.4) A pioneer sister is dating a brother from another congregation. On 3 separate occasions, the brother kisses the sister's breasts (he is the "aggressor" in the situation). The sister is moved to tears, and finally confesses. The elders determined this was uncleanness, but there was no greediness on her part, so she faced no judicial action.
I can just hear the elders on her JC. "So sister niceboobs, did you feel arousal when this brother kissed your breasts? Were you wearing revealing clothing?"
I can just hear the elders on her JC.
Hmmmmm. Makes you wonder if they were getting off on it their dang selves. Do they really ask for all that *&^% detail? I wouldn't tell them a thing about my intimacy. That's just sounds freaky, wanting to hear about someone's sexual excapades. I know that you men have no problem talking about sex, but many women do. No wonder the girl cried. How humiliating for her! It just shows how blinded that we were, to give someone that kind of control over your life.

Seriously, what would the sister have to do to make her guilty of greediness?
Do they really ask for all that *&^% detail?
Yes, they do. It took a few trips to the back room for me to figure it out.
Also, a couple of elder's daughters clued me in that that was what they expected. Hmmmm, I wonder why they knew?
Hmmm...but the elders greedily gobble up all the juicy details....
