I don't know, but from this thread it sounds to me like the elders want to guarentee themselves a way to get jws to fess up every titilating detail.

"Now answer this question in the minutest detail. We need every single detail to determine whether or not you sinned with greediness." Translation: "We want masturbation fantasy fodder. "

So if i fondle a chick, but dont happen to suck on her nipples, its loose conduct.... but not greediness.

What about an infant who is being breast fed........will they consider that a form of greed seeing as mouth and breast meet? What a bunch of total idiots........

I think they are disgusting and what they outline for the elders is sickning. Oh they try to sound all ordely and united even , I can think of the expression, up front? Loving discipline? my eye.

I too wondered about that when reading sir's posts. I don't recall that "greed" was such a judicial criterion 20 years ago. Perhaps the turning point was 1993, where "greediness" is discussed pretty often in WT literature e.g. The Watchtower 3.1:

    17

As if unrestrained indulgence in loose conduct and uncleanness of every sort were not bad enough, Paul adds that such persons act "with greediness." When people who still possess a measure of moral sense commit a sin, they may at least feel remorseful and try hard not to repeat it. But those who have "come to be past all moral sense" sin "with greediness" ("and still ask for more," The Anchor Bible). A radio commentator once put it this way: "If you paint the town red tonight, you have to have a bigger bucket and a bigger brush for tomorrow night." They eagerly enter a vicious downward spiral until they sink to the very depths of depravity—and think nothing of it. What an accurate depiction of "the will of the nations"!—1 Peter 4:3, 4.

Although this has no judicial overtones, perhaps the concept has been later exploited in "secret" instructions to the elders as a convenient casuistic criterion.

Anyway the result is hilarious. Any psychoanalyst would love sitting in an elders' training session...

Notice how in a very recent watchtower QFR about pornography , the phrase "with greediness" features prominently
