Would you want plastic surgery?

It is said that teens are now getting breast implants, tummy tucks and liposuction. I remember when I was younger, we thought these type of surgeries were done by older woman wanting to stay young looking. Does not seem to be the case anymore and it is getting easier and easier to get done. Personally, I would like a few things done and would love to have enough money to do it. I do feel a little sad that young teen girls would want these items done, when they are in that extreme emotional level of their life. Like a tattoo, it might be something cool today and stupid looking in twenty years. Would anyone here like to have plastic surgery, or do you think we should just be happy with the body we have?

Oh hell yes! I need a breast lift and a tummy tuck. I might even consider getting a butt implant. Wouldn't mind have a nice round bottom to go along with the package. Here I am going to be 4? on Monday and still thinking about trying to look better. I'm dieting now. *sigh* The hardest place to lose the weight is off my belly. If I could get my insurance to approve of me having all of this work done, I'd do it in a heartbeat!

You wanna see a pic of a fat belly? Take a look at this web page. My belly is nothing like that, but I still hate it.

Dag! That's a long web address. Hope, it works.

Those pictures made me feel ill, the skinny woman as well as the heavy one. Anyone who takes it to the extreme, either direction, is not doing themselves any favors.

As Mick Jagger sang, "What a drag it is getting old."

I might have some things done. Like chemical peels and some other minor things. I've got the baby face, just give me the baby skin.

i don't see any reason to just be content with the body we have, if there are ways to make it better available to us.

i think the idea that teen girls should not be doing this is based in the idea that the body is something sacred, a gift. that nature consciously made us a certain way, when in fact evolution is blind.

if someone wants to phenotypically evolve themselves in their lifetime, all the power to them. same with tattoos. as long as we have imaginations, we are going to atempt enjoying ourselves more than nature intended us to.

I do not relate in anyway with wanting to have plastic surgery. It is one of the most disgusting ways to condemn one's self that I can think of--my only exception would be accident victims/maiming etc. I must ask, how can anyone be proud of what they paid some surgeon to sculpt on themselves? How does this have anything to do with the person?

You're just 27. Wait until you hit your forties and start seeing how unforgiving your skin is to every sunburn and tan you ever got. You might be purchasing alpha hydroxy and coenzymeQ10 by the boatloads and saving up your nickels for some lazers or a chemical peel.

    condemn to what exactly?

why should anyone be proud of what nature gave them? it wasn't a gift.

Why should we be ashamed of aging? You can spraypaint dying grass, but I wouldn't understand that either.

Shame has nothing to do with it. If I had anything done, it would be for me. I'll try natural things first. I have a book all about it, somewhere.
