Did you ever go to the elders and tell on a fellow Witness for either something considered major or even frivolous??

I did...I had seen an elders daughter kissing her boyfriend in a hotel elevator on assembly weekend. I readily told on her and they got into a bit of trouble....
Now I feel like crap...

As a teenager, I was hauled into the library by 3 elders who questioned me about the rumored loose conduct on a ski trip I attended with many other dubs.
I did not rat anyone out, but I refused to confirm an alibi that one of my friends had given. He said he was hanging out with me, but he was really getting busy with his girlfriend.
Long story short, he was dfed and the girl was publicly reproved. Believe it or not I was not sorry or remorseful at all about not lying to protect my friend. I thought I had done the right thing.
It was truly a misguided mistake on my part and after leaving the "troof" I felt deeply saddened by it.
What a surprise it was to me that this guy was one of the first people to befriend me when I got dfed and he is still a very close friend.
He actually thanked me for being honest, it basically led to his freedom.
Even with that said, if I could do it all over again, I would not rat him out.

I would like to! if it would get him df'd. But, it wouldn't mean anything coming from me. Too bad.

No...no and HELL NO! That is just cruel! Not to mention that I was doing way worse things! It was my parents who ratted me out!

Actually, in a sense I did. Stumbled across a JW smoking. They said they would go to the elders...technically they didn't have to since I was only one witness of their smoking. On another occasion, the person also turned themselves in after knowing I knew. We were so well trained as JWs, weren't we?

When I was a 17 year old, I saw the Theocratic Ministry School "Servant" with a cigarette dangling out of his mouth while he was driving a cab. When I told the powers that be what I had seen, he approached me and said I was clearly mistaken. Of course, I had no further comment but I knew what I had seen. But who knows? Besides, looking back at it, who cares??

Nope ...Never!
I have seen smoking, sex, porn, alcohol, drugs, etc etc etc all done by little witnesses...never said a damn word!
I am sure someone will tell on me soon since I have heard through the lovely grapevine they saw a pic of me on here. All I have to say is watch yourself b***h because I have more dirt on you than me and if you ever think of coming between my family and I...I will get pissed and no one wants me pissed! (saying that in the nicest way possible)

I started to say "no", but after thinking about it, I did kinda squeal on someone one time.
A fellow JW worked where I worked. At first they were very aloof to the rest of the company, the company workers being "worldly" and all. But this person let their guard down one time and went out and partied with a bunch of co-workers. After that, this one time zealous JW became more and more worldly. They broke off their engagement with another JW. They started hanging out with the co-workers, coming into work hungover. Then they shacked up with another co-worker.
I was still acitve as a JW at the time and was somewhat shocked at this other person's behavior. This person had not been to the meetings in over a couple of months by that time. The elders were aware of problems but didn't seem to be doing anything. One day an elder called and asked me one thing that he had heard that the person had supposedly did. I told him everything that I knew of, whether I witnessed it or not, everything I heard through the rumor mill and what everyone was saying about this person. A couple of months later, when no action had been taken, I asked the elder about it and he said, since this person wasn't attending meetings and wasn't representing themself as a witness anymore, they weren't going to bother with it. If the person decided to come back to meetings or try to associate with the friends then they would pursue the issue.
So even though I basically ratted them out, nothing happened to them based on what I said about them. Looking back on it, I'm thankful that they didn't get in any trouble because of my being stool pigeon.
