I was such a goody-goody, anus-clamped-shut-as-tight-as-a-tourniquet JW that everybody knew not to invite me on vacations, parties, hotel stays for assemblies, etc....So I never had the opportunity.

Well I am sure you all know my answer is YES!!!Of course I did I was a robot... Did as I was told... My best friend invited me to her new home- she was NOT a JW,,, Her B/F was.... He was there with us ( she was studying and they had been married when they were 18& 19. ( Now were old) Their parents had annulled it. Now this was many years later!!!! He had been married with 3 kids- now widowed -she had been married was now getting a divorce .... When we came to the bedroom- HE said "this is where we sleep "& laughed.... Well My husband was not a JW & was shocked --- so I did it all scriptuallyWent to him on his own- said it was adultery He wouldnt listened -So took it to the elders They spoke to him! wouldnt listen-took it to the congregation by kicking him out
BUT what happened they married ---when her Divorce was final- he got reinstated! She became a JW -I served at their wedding!!! He forever thanked me for getting him back into paradise
I know I am ashamed!!!!! She died last year never spoke to me after I was d/f... he also died thanking this wonderful grace ( undeserved kindness -me!!!! for what?????I DO HOPE NOT HELL

Been backstabbed with false testimonys countless times.The dubs seem to have a sort of 'oral tradition' that if you are a life-long member of a 3rd generation dub dynasty.You are expected to be able to take what ever sleaze they hurl at you cause you can't be stumbled on account of being born into it.

Or,i just was in the worst congregations for sleaze (bad luck) I got out because of the bullshit first (classic case of stumbling) and reconciled with their false doctrines post exit.

I did, third-hand. Told my JW hubby about some internet activity. He figured out who I was talking about, but swore he'd never tell. I am sure with three questions the elders had all the information squeezed out of him.

I've seen all sorts of things done by fellow dubs. But I never did rat, I always figured I wouldn't want them to do it to me!! I have been ratted ON several times. But never been totally honest with the elders, when I was about 16 I started going out with my 'wordly' friends, and the elders asked me if I'd ever kissed a boy etc (gross they asked the most intrusive questions) I just denied everything. I hadnt done anything 'immoral' and considered it none of their business. I just wasn't going to sit in front of 3 old men and talk about sex!! Also we had the thing before we got married in the hall, fortunately the lovely brother we'd chosen to do the wedding talk was more embarassed than us and just asked if we'd conducted ourselves in a proper manner.. we both nodded.. we'd been doing it properly

I didn't do the initial "finking" but there was this one elder's daughter who acted really really wild at school and I decided to shun her. After a while I guess it caught on and a JC was formed, not just because of her but because of her older brother too, who had impregnated his girlfriend.

At the JC I was asked all kinds of questions, but I only told them I never did "see" anything specific and that I just didn't think she was a good example and I didn't like her behavior, so therefore I decided to ignore her at school when she tried to speak to me. It had nothing really to do with being a JW, I just hated her I'm-better-than-you-are attitude. Her father was on the committee and was trying to get me to nail down something very specific that I saw her do. I had nothing to offer. This was the same elder who I mentioned about on an earlier post-----he burned down a house next to his office, embezzeled over 250K from an elderly man and trafficked cocaine.

I never did. I always had a problem with the org getting into people's personal business.
Of course I've had it happen to me before.

I would have died for my friends, I ceratinly never would have ratted them out. But you better believe I would have finked on anyone I didnt like.

Yes, because this guy was and is a total rat bastard. This experience may seem trivial, but it was just one of the things that he did. He was very fond of setting people up. He went to great lengths to create his little scenarios to entertain himself. He would collect what he considered to be "dirt"on people that would get them in trouble with elders if it was found out and act like he was all friendly and would keep the secret, then do something illegal in front of this person, and basically dare them to tell on him, knowing that if they told on him, he would rat them out as well. So he tried that with me, and found out that I don't take well to blackmail. IMO, he deserved it because he had stolen from a store in front of me.
