I did think briefly today maybe this was the way to go - my bf certainly seems to think so. But its just not what i feel is right for me. I've held out from replying to my dad for like 3 hours and thats painful to me. When you love someone, even if you are angry with them, its impossible to not respond to them. My dad must have immense strength of character to ignore me for so many years.

I don't know how these dubs live with themselves. I remember when I was in this quandary before (should I respond). It was different circumstances but it was with someone I loved. I wanted to reply so bad, cuss him out what not. Now looking back I am so glad I did not respond. He e-mailed me about a month later like nothing had happened. He wanted to know how I was and what was new in my life. I did not respond to that e-mail either. Silence is the best thing you can do imo. Don't go looking for more pain.

Thats certainly a very charitable way of looking at it Crump!Your a better Person than me.My Parents tried the whole extremely hardcore shunning thing with my Brother and it has bit them in the arse hard!No contact with Grand-kids..everything.Maybe im too vindictive.

Sometimes what you think you want isn't what you wanted at all. So you share the same basic gene pool with someone. It doesn't mean a darn thing in reality. Refuse to hang out with jerks, family or not, and you'll be happier. If you find yourself wishing to be reunited to JW family members that still shun you and treat you like crap, take a pause and remember how they have treated you and the cruel things they have done to you year after year. Take some time to really remember in detail just how they really are, how they made you feel. Those wishful feelings disappear mighty quick.

i welcome all questions and pretty much always answer them fleman. No I don't have kids and probably won't. Thats largely down to my upbringing, but if closure comes and I am able and my heart thaws enough to allow a child in and my womb is able who knows. Won't be for a while. I have wondered if hey might try to see me if I had children, but who knows

I've just thought of perfect revenge - i text m dad back and say hey whilst we are revealing secrets - I have 6 children! And guess what you can't see them ever unless you leave your perverted vision of truth!
