I have no problems seeing that people can find American "football" an exciting game. It is. If I knew the game better, I would appreciate the subtle details more. Even though those 10-second-spurts of action followed by 10 minutes of advertising gets boring in the long run.
But, Jay, don't go along calling NFL "football" and assert it has more claim to this name than what you call "soccer". In fact, they use their hands more in European Football than they use their feet in American Football. By all means, it's a nice sport if you need lots of breaks to catch your breath (spectator or player), but it should be called American Handball. That is what it is.
Rugby is the real tough game, though. Non-stop. The American players may be equally big and tough, but they could not last a whole Rugby game with practically non-stop action, because they're not used to it. And they'd throw the ball the wrong way!
EnglishMan: The question can be easily answered. England would win, hands down. Btw, we already knows what happens when Liverpool plays Manchester United The good guys win, and the scum are left sulking. Haha.
