I remember hearing a similar story about Clinton too. It struck me, do these stories only come up with Democratic presidents? Don't want to start any Dem/Repub debate but it just struck me that I never heard of Bush getting approached by jdubs.

Urban myths abound , don't they? ... They love to ascribe importance to their work by these tales. Can you honestly believe it happening? If it did the Pres would be open to all kinds of weird approaches and gifts of literature from conspiracy theories to porn......

Anyway, so what? he would have binned it or had it filed away somewhere. NB In the '80's it was widely known that when all the wedding gifts to Prince Charles and Diana were put on display (these from well wishers the world over) a copy of "Making Your Family Life Happy" was among them .

It didn't do much to make their lives happy , did it?
