  The reason a JW can not even say 'hi' to me (and most you here) is based on 2 John 6-11

  6 And this is what love means, that we go on walking according to his commandments. This is the commandment, just as YOU people have heard from [the] beginning, that YOU should go on walking in it. 7 For many deceivers have gone forth into the world, persons not confessing Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist. 8 Look out for yourselves, that YOU do not lose the things we have worked to produce, but that YOU may obtain a full reward. 9 Everyone that pushes ahead and does not remain in the teaching of the Christ does not have God. He that does remain in this teaching is the one that has both the Father and the Son. 10 If anyone comes to YOU and does not bring this teaching, never receive him into YOUR homes or say a greeting to him. 11 For he that says a greeting to him is a sharer in his wicked works.

  This type of treatment is only ever described at this one scripture and is being applied to the ANTICHRIST.

  I wonder what my overly active JW mother thinks about spawning me; the Antichrist? It makes me feel like I have just appeared out of some blood sucking vampire movie.

  Correct this refers to the abominable anti-christ (who denys Jesus came in the flesh and gave his life as ransom) not a 16 year old boy/girl dfed by flunky control-freak elders for smoking cigarettes

  If that is the passage they use to justify viewing us all as the antichrist, then that is pretty ironic. The passage only says "people who do not confess Jesus as Christ coming in the flesh". That means that JWs should not view anyone christian (that is, all the 1 billion christians of the world) as the "antichrist". They all believe Jesus is the Messiah, come in the flesh. Tell that the next time they tell you you are the antichrist.

  Unless you are comfortable with that label, of course.

  I was df'd on the "grounds" of 2 John 9-11.

  The funny thing is that when I was first summoned (by the entire BoE + 2 COs) the only thing they had against me is that "I was speaking too much about Jesus". And all the specific JW doctrines I then admitted (before the JC) not believing anymore were clearly things "going beyond Jesus' teaching". The irony of having 2 John read to me as the outcome motivated me to appeal the judgement (to no avail of course).

  jwfacts: Notice that 1 John 2:22b says: "He is anti-Christ, that denieth the Father and the Son." There can be no doubt that I fit this description of being 'anti-Christ' and so I would come in line for the Christian shunning described at 2 John 10. What a shame that the NT contains this extremely harsh sanction for me, a person who simply could no longer believe in God or the Bible's supernatural claims about Jesus.
