Gracey-My heart goes out to you. Your experience is all too common among JW children, go and read at www.silentlambs.org and you will see that you are not alone. It was not your fault, not one bit, and yes many children were not believed or brushed aside. Wishing you the best in life,

Welcome to the forum. What a horrible childhood!! As a mother of a only child myself, I cannot fathum allowing such a thing to happen to her. I am amazed at how you have been able to still love your Mother after such betrayal. I had a very close friend in the organization whos stepfather did this very thing to all his daughters, including the one who was actually his own. My friend knew her mother knew, and she too never "saved them". Like you, her heart is big, and still has a relationship with her Mom, even though it is strained. My heart goes out to you and any who have had to endure such tragedy!!! How many years have you been away from the organization? We are glad to have you on the forum. You will find many friends here!

You poor thing. I read your story. And I want to cry for the horrible things you went through and then to be let down by your family. You sound like you've come so far but there's always so much further you can travel. I hope you keep posting here. It can be very theraputic.

Welcome to the forum Gracey, given your past and your experiences with the JWs I am not at all surprised that you were stumbled, they are always so unwilling to believe in abuse allegations made by children.

Thank you for sharing so much. I know that must have taken a lot for you to share this much.
I too had a close friend whose mom knew her daughters were being abused by her husband and yet she turned a blind eye to it! I don't understand that depth of denial. That is a very sad person who cannot defend their own child. I am so sorry you had to live like that.
It's only natural that this experience has molded you somewhat. We all carry baggage from our upbringing. When you add the JW cult stuff it only amplifies any problems that were there already. You are smart to have left when you did. You have your whole life ahead of you. We are here for you.
