I need the top 5 questions to present to the elders....

Anyone who has been following my situation may recall that it looks like the elder's are 'closing in' on wifey and I after having been out about two and a half years. I think they may force a showdown with a registered letter inviting me to the JC.

I don't care if they DF me. I am out for good. But I want to use this as an opportunity to show others in the local cult the need to think.

My idea is to send a letter of DA if I get pressed into that corner. But not to the elders directly. One copy to each member of the congregation whose address I can find, with a pleasant intro allowing them to think that I am using them as a personal courier, asking them to read the letter before they take it to the elders, since they were my friend and want them to know the reasons too.

My idea is to make the letter brief but pointed. I would like to incorporate stimulating questions about the five greatest concerns I have with the organization. [Those concerns are not as important as making them think about the way I state the issue] I want them to remember some of what my letter states until the Cognitive Dissonance sets in for them sometime in the future. If I can save even one it is worth it.

    What I envision in the letter is the five questions in the body with bullets and highlights. As example;

    • How could my conscience not react with disdain and distrust when I became aware of the 10 year association of the Watchtower society as a legal component of the United Nations NGO program beginning in 1992?

My idea is to state in the letter that should these serious doctrinal, moral and ethical issues be ever proven to me as false or of no serious concern, I would under those circumstances consider a total return to the organization. [Of course no one could succeed at that task - so no worry there] I hope that one or two would get busy 'researching' these things with a view to 'restoring' me or others that have left.

The end result may be that others will come out too. I want to present myself as having left over serious issues of conscience, and not out of rebellion of any sort. Kill 'em with kindness and careful reasoning.

I know it's shot in the dark. But does anyone have a list or just one or two foolproof questions that would stick with these people? I know of the pitfalls - but I want to take this final opportunity to maybe put a doubt in the minds of some.

    Thanx for your help.

    • How can any individual Jehovah's Witness have salvation by refusing to partake of the wine and bread when Jesus said the following to a crowd made up of believers and nonbelievers:

John 6:53-58 So Jesus said to them, “ I assure you : Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you do not have life in yourselves. Anyone who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day, because My flesh is real food and My blood is real drink. The one who eats My flesh and drinks My blood lives in Me, and I in him. Just as the living Father sent Me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on Me will live because of Me. This is the bread that came down from heaven; it is not like the manna your fathers ate—and they died. The one who eats this bread will live forever.”

    A personal recent favorite is:

    • How is it that Jesus needed to search for the faithful slave so that he could identify them as such and start using them when Jehovah has been using a faithful and discreet slave since Pentecost 33 CE?

The idea here is, either their authority derives from an uninterrupted history of being used by Jehovah or it derives from a recent search made by Jesus of the churches. Right now, they want it both ways.

    Respectfully,

    Good luck Jeff -

    Q. What gives Jehovah's Witnesses the right to dip into national blood supplies when they themselves don't donate any and are supposedly to "abstain from blood"? How do they justify this?

Jeff if you want to get the message over to the Congo have you thought about an announcement in the local newspaper?

Here are a few of my favorites.

    • The Society teaches that the worldwide anointed remnant is the Faithful Slave who receives direction from Jehovah. Yet the Watchtower Society doesn't consult this group before issueing their teachings. Rather, the worldwide anointed find out about doctrinal matters in the magazines like everyone else. Is the Society really following their own beliefs regarding the Faithful and Discrete Slave?

    • The Society teaches that the "Tree Dream" in Daniel CH 4 refers to a 2520 year period ending in 1914. Yet, in that same Chapter (Da 4:22-24) Daniel says the meaning of the dream only applied to Nebuchanezzar. What makes the Society believe there is some hidden meaning? Could this be the reason the prediction about the 1914 "Generation" failed? Why didn't Jesus and the Apostles notice this t? Is it true that the Charles Taze Russell borrowed this formula from the Adventists?

    • Why does the Society continue to keep teaching "The End is Near" when Luke 21:8 clearly says they should not?

    • Why would Jehovah allow so many false predictions , dates and incorrect teachings to be printed by the Society if all of mankind's salvation depends on recognizing the Society as being the only source of truth?

    • The Society teaches that every person on Earth will be executed by Jehovah if they do not respond to the "Issue of Universal Sovereignty". Why is this "Issue" discussed NOWHERE by Jesus, the Apostles or anywhere in the Bible?

    Questions:

    1. Why did the Watchtower Society whore with the UN for 10 years?
    2. Why do the JWs insist on publicly rejecting Jesus once a year at the memorial™?
    3. To protect my family, I require a list of JW pedophiles in our area.
    4. Why are JWs still preaching when the Jan. 1 1989 Watchtower clearly stated that the work would end within the 20th century? And why was the 1989 bound volume sanitized to remove that statement?
    5. Regarding the blood policy, when will the governing body members pull their heads out of their asses?

By the way Jeff, I like your plan. Make sure you mail the letters out on a Thursday afternoon so that they all get delivered before the Elders can make a general announcement to the congregation.

Just returned from coffee to find your fine replies here. Thanx to you all. Wonderful questions.

Some of these are quite thought provoking - which is precisely what I am looking for. Yes, FWilly, I have thought of that. But I was thinking maybe mailing them on Monday morning. Most would get them on Tuesday. The TMS and ministry school are on Thursday here. So that would allow them a few days to get and read them before they would be at the meeting. [with the exception of the book study, but I believe that most of the Bs's are held on Monday eve here now.] Clam - do you mean like an ad in the personal section?

With this idea fresh in mind, I am considering DA'ing even if they don't force the issue. In my mind it has long been over anyway. This way I could make my last impression on my terms not thiers. But would ya'll associate with me then? [LOL]

One copy to each member of the congregation whose address I can find

Why wouldn't a loving organization provide its' members with a directory of the congregation listing names, numbers and addresses? Because they are afraid someone will do what you are about to!
