What does 'accurate knowledge' have to do with worship and praise?

    Jeff,

You've come to the real heart of the matter with this one!

The dubs' view of coming to christ seems to be much like studying at university - where you do a course and at the end of it you are 'qualified'. (How often have we used that term 'qualified' ! )

The scriptures however speak of it quite differently - the action is with the Father calling the individual whereas to a dub, it's the other way around - the dub has to approach the father. By way of example we see the father looking for the prodigal son and 'seeing him afar off' he runs to him. Jesus spoke this parable to teach that very point.

It's no wonder that dubs appear without a real joyful relationship with Christ - they don't know about it! All they have is a searching for knowledge - hey, isn't that what the gnostics were doing in the first century?

    Good point, Ozzie.

Want to make a Jw real nervous? Start speaking about Jesus as if u have a real one on one relationship with him. It will make them nearly tremble. The only relationship they seek is with Jehovah- which to them means the organization, not a loving personal Father.

I cannot imagine God saying to the singers of such "You are consigned to everlasting death due to the inaccurate nature of some of the lyrics".

"Now... can any of you JW's tell me what type of wood the stake was made from? No? Well I'm sorry but your level of knowledge just isn't accurate enough. Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire prepared for the Devil and his angels."
