Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah...its all the same old crap, recycled, refurbished and rehashed over and over and over.
My wife just made it an issue that she was not going to miss it.
I did'nt get invited to go .... by anyone.
Not that I would have gone anyway....just nice to come here and find out what I did'nt miss...
Ok so it was one of those boring talks again, can they be original for once... oh yes they keep that for the new light
Quite so: They are boringly repetitious until something "times out" or otherwise becomes a failed prophecy. Then it's time for the "NEW LIGHT" maneuver.
As you said, they get original then.
And about the only monotony breaking entertainment in Dubdom is NEW LIGHT, speculating about assembly releases and gossip.

Very typical doctrine talk, very routine...
Couple repetitious basics with 1 or 2 "interested ones" in attendance. Is this the best the WTS can do to drum up business?
"Special Talks" are becoming as mundane as Latin mass.
My wife didn't invite me to the"special talk"™ this year. I felt so hurt and unwanted.
Though those SPC Talks are generally so watered down for public consumption that you don't want to get up and kidney punch the speaker. Although I was not there, so I cannot say for certain if that was the case this year or not. But in the past they water down the Spc Talk so the new ones don't get frightened and run off.
I was invited to the talk by my mother! But politely declined, and forgot all about it until I saw the post here. Sounds like every other 'special' talk we've had for the past 100 years.
Every day I just thank my lucky stars I'm out.

Very boring , I thought there was minor clarification - very little "Special" about it
Most people i that i talked to (ones i know personally that talk freely about the religion) were dissapointed by the talk, they were expecting alot more.
