Gifts? Lol. Never heard of anyone receiving a blanket as a gift. You must scan some of the cards.

Things will improve for you now - you know it.

    Whats that I heard?

    Jehovahs Witnesses giving gifts????!!!

Surely that is assigning someone too much honour!? I bet theres a local needs talk about it very soon lol

I can just see it now....some 'christians' might feel sorry for a parent when a youth turns away from the faith and feel that it is necessary to give gifts such as candles and blankets, but really, is this approach for true christians? We must question why such youth turned away in the first place, was it not the parents ultimate responsibility to ensure that he or she was taught according to Jehovahs exacting standards? We must endeavour not to support such failures on behalf of the parent and therefore only offer spiritual gifts such as publications or a scriptural letter offering help and assistance. Do we not agree that anything more would be assigning that parent too much honour?

He and his wife came into my work the other evening. ; The wife kept her distance, but the husband came ovr and gave me a huge hug.

that's awesome, Richie. You're going to find out you have more people who care than you ever thought possible. And maybe you're giving a few other kids the idea that they can get out, too!

My GAWD DB, you write as one with authority! This sounds just like a real article. I feel compelled to go and retreive the blanket I gave to console my christian friend who had split a nail and then pigged out on Mr Kiplings Bakewell Tarts to comfort herself.

    hehe...I couldnt resist!

Of course I was being silly but surely if people really cared about each other wouldnt they be trying to help Richie?...after all its Richie thats apparently going to lose his life at the big A? It just strikes me that his mother isnt the one they should be worried about if they were really genuine.

... was it not the parents ultimate responsibility to ensure that he or she was taught according to Jehovahs exacting standards? (Riiiight, nothing at all to do with a flicking draconian organization bent on destruction of any individual personalities in their midst)
... anything more would be assigning that parent too much honour? (yeah, I remember gifts weren't to care for or aid someone --- NO gifts for YOU)

OMG DB74 the youth at that KH are in for it now. So many will read your words of psuedo-wisdom and well, someone in Paterson is writing out the phony question from readers as we speak. Those kids parents will put them in lock down for sure. Family Bible studies will increase --- that means more hours to report ,so obviously the great Yawn will be blessing the restraining efforts. Meanwhile, I feel the pain of those who won't be receiving candles and blankets. Actually, I am glad RR's Mom has some emotional support. Why? Because that close friend will see how much RR loves his Mum; how he respects her as a human being.

RitchieRich, When I DA'd I was told by another friend who faded later that my very best friend (who introduced me as her sister but quit talking to me) cried out and fell to the ground when my DA was announced. She died about 6 weeks later so, I'm sure I got the blame for that too. 5 others who'd been our friends left within the next year, including MrPanda which makes 6, no doubt all under my Satanic influence. The point is that you will be amazed at the influence your escaping the bORG will have on others.

I completely agree! Personally I think its good that people should show they care (regardless of how misguided it makes them look); my rhetoric in the previous post was simply just being silly to get the point across that this isnt the norm and that gift giving (in particular when it comes to birthdays) is not encouraged enough.

Its called 'taking the piss for emphasis' - a new section to work on in the theocratic ministry school guidebook! I think I should get a G for that!
