If I met you and you saw that I wear a pentagram and often speak about Tarot and Rune, and mention how I do magick and you saw that I have a Wiccan calender on my wall and there are statues around my house of gargoyles, dragons, and other things no good Witness would be caught dead with. Would you be okay with this or does your mind still see these items as demons? I a an adult, I can accept people being judgemental of these items and I do come to expect it, especially with my own personal background in the religion. Yet my reason for bringing these up, is not to offer to sell or get people to purchase these items, more of a why question. What is it about these items scare you? Did you actually have a bad personal experience, or is it still a past prejudice of what the Witnesses told you? After all, I remember very well that page in the Paradise book of all these evil things and mentioning how they were the Devil's toys. So where do you stand on these items now?
Does items considered part of the "Occult" still scare you?

I feel that they are another form of self-delusion, with no more basis in fact and reality and falsifiable proofs than Christianity. I am attempting to escape from self-delusion already, and seeing material proof that there are many other forms and that they are utterly capable of pulling people in makes me ask myself the frightening question: "Could I be reeled in again?"

I will never try anything associated with "Occult".

The JWs are not the only ones that don't like occultic objects and arts though they seem to fear them more than other groups do. I personally believe that they refer back to invisible malicious demonic powers, the archenemies of Christianity, and would rather step down on them hard.

wouldn't bother me any more than someone with tattoos, a set of harry potter books or a toilet roll.but if someone had dead animals nailed to their front door and signs of ritual sacrifices in their garden i would prolly pass.
