Elders all say hello to me, hoping I'll come back or that I'll say something interesting to them....
To those that shun you, you should happily yell back at them... "IT'S OK...YOU CAN TALK TO ME, REALLY.....THE ELDERS DO...AND BY THE WAY, I'M NOT DISFELLOWSHIPPED!"
Today I'm wishing they did shun me. Goofball JW guy that asked me out on a non-date years ago came in today, took my hand, and evoked my dead son as a reason I need to go back. I know his mindset, I know he thinks he's being...what? kind? I don't know. I just wish he'd kept his opinion to himself.
I haven't been DA'd or DF'd but I haven't been to a meeting in almost 8 years. Every once in a great while I will be in a store and see someone from the hall and I go in the opposite direction as fast as I can. The last time an elderly sister caught me in the store she lectured me about how everyone missed me so much and were so worried about me. She asked for my phone number and I gave her a fake one. I am such a wimp! Haven't seen anyone lately and hopefully they wouldn't recognize me after 8 years anyway.
