When the society or an elder talks about specific "lies" of apostates they use a strawman technique.
The strawman technique works like this:
1) apostates lie about jehoba's people
2) I heard one apostate say that witnesses eat their children
3) We know that it is silly to say that we eat our children
4) Therefore you can't believe anything an apostate says because they all lie.
(if I recall these was a very similar line of reasoning in a Wt several years ago. Does anyone recall this example?)

Just a question: do the two first scans (in German, one in typesetter script and the other in Gothic print) come from two versions of the same document, or two different documents?

The first one is from the Watchtower letter to the Reichskanzler. The second one is from a German copy of the Declaration, distributed at the 1933 convention.

The society will tell witnesses not to believe shows like 20/20 when they cover stories about child molestations and the Watchtower coverup. They will claim the charges are by lying apostates.

Here's another answer to "apostate lies". Interesting how they refer to themselves as a "sect". I never heard of them doing that.

They told us not to talk to apostates or take any "apostate" literature outside of the DA sites.
They said it was all POISON. Then they put up a huge banner above the stage with this picture and said that this is what you can expect if you become apostate. This occurred after a Judicial hearing.
