I was really shocked to see this headline this morning....Patsy Ramsey died this morning at the age of 49 of ovarian cancer....I always wondered what happened there; whether she and her husband actually killed their daughter, or if someone else broke into the house and murdered her.......while family members are always high on the list of suspects when something like this happens, I tend to think that John and Patsy Ramsey were falsely accused of murdering their daughter, as there appeared to be no motive.

Anyone think they DID kill her?

Hm I thought it was a really odd scenario that was put out there. My husband and I were out in Colorado for our Honeymoon around the time it was all going down and at the time I really thought the parents did it. Now I am not so sure. It seems that I heard that the mom has been fighting ovarian cancer for some time.

Yes, if you did a "gun to my head, get it right or die" bet with me, I'd have to bet that one of the family in the home killed her. It's sickening how much money and influence (and smarts) can short circuit the investigative process.

My gut tells me no, they didn't have anything to do with the murder of their daughter. I saw a show about all of the evidence and the case and that furthered my feelings that it was an outsider who murdered her. I realize I could be wrong. Guilty people go free. Innocent people are convicted. Sometimes, when there are no eye witnesses, other than the victim and the murder(s), no one but God knows.

I was listening to the radio this past week.........they had asked ........what three questions would you want answered when going to heaven......

    1. Who killed JFK?

    2. Who killed Jon Benet Ramsey?

    3. and something about Elvis.....forgot......like did he die when they say he did.

    Thought it was interesting!

I don't think they came across as the nicest parents, and I strongly disagree with them exploiting JonBenet in those creepy pageants (the participants of which don't even look like any child I've ever seen, it's all 80s big hair and shoulder pads) - but I don't believe they killed her.

JonBenet had a pair of small singe marks on her body - apparently from a taser. It makes sense that a kidnapper did this and it also explains the wet bed. I saw this on a documentary about it and other unsolved murders and the finger was firmly pointed at a local (now dead) paedophile who had previous history of gaining access to houses via the basement window. Before I saw the documentary I was suspicious of the mum and dad, but I was convinced by the singe marks especially.

It's very sad that Mrs Ramsay has died.

I don't think John or Pasy killed JonBennet. My OPINION is that her older brother Burke did it and that John and Patsy made a conscious decision to protect their living child (even fabricating evidence) since nothing they could do would bring JonBenet back. <-- my OPINION. It is possible that if we ever do find out what really happened, it will be years from now, after John is gone.

I never watched much of the news on this and never developed an opinion really. The child beauty pagent stuff was creepy to me too. At the time, it seemed as though there had been too many dreadful things in the news and I was leary of getting emotionally involved in another one of these awful stories.

Interesting stuff, glitter. I guess I hope that's what actually happened because it would be even more horrible if the family was involved.

It's been a while since I last read bout the case but I do recall a few things that made me wonder, like hadn't it snowed the night before the murder but there weren't any foot prints outside the basement window where the supposed killer came through. Also, wasn't there something about how the window was broken, like it may have been broken from the inside not the outside. And also the fact that she was found in the basement of their home, wouldn't an intruder kidnap her? That seems to be the M.O. of almost all pediophiles cases that I've seen in the news. I always wondered if the mom (or dad) killed her in a fit of rage and half-hazardly hid the body in the first place they could think of - the basement.
