How many porn addicted elders?

The WT has always condemned these things and is apparently full of them.

The same can be said for every person in a religious capacity that gets caught doing wrong. Hell, the Catholic Church is not known to be a pedophile organization. They are still strong. The "bad" priests were just disciplined or booted. They have rebounded pretty well,imo. When the BTK killer did his thing, his church affiliation was not the big deal. His church did not get hurt. It is understood that there can be bad apples anywhere.

Min, The Catholic Church is at least making an attempt to apologies. The BTK killer? Was he living in his religious housing when he committed the crimes?

Don't base your opinion just on what appears in the newspapers. This organization has an ongoing battle with the Catholic Church. While the church has admitted to the problem, they are still stonewalling, lying, and not helping the victims of the priests, nuns, and laypeople of their organization.

My point about the Catholic church is that this is small potatoes in comparison. Yet, they have rebounded. To faithful Catholics, it has been their cross to bear. Yet the donations are still coming back, even if they were disillusioned. These Catholics who believed their religion, their faith is pure or right, did not indict their religion which they believe to be the true faith. You did not hear how millions of Catholics believe their Church is rotten from within now.Just because you have a religion that purports to be the True Faith, it doesn't mean that the religion isn't anymore because of a few that violate its principles.....Obviously, I detest the JW religion and I think the RCC is "cultish". But just because a priest (or a number of them) violates his oath-----even if he lives in the rectory, it doesn't mean the whole religion is rotten.

You should go to the SNAP conference 7/21-23 in Jersey City,New Jersey and tell the people there what you just said here, minimus. I don't think they will give up the battle based on your reasoning.

Blondie, don't misinterpet my point. Whether it be SNAP, Silentlambs or another group, the pedophile problem is very real. But there are such problems in many larger groups and religions. SNAP does not represent the core of devotees of the RCC. Neither does Silentlambs represent all exjws.

At least I have attended their conferences, heard these people speak and tell about their past, what they are doing and what they will be doing.

Any changes in recent child sexual abuse legislation can be traced to this group and their hard work and willingness to strive against a larger foe. Thank goodness they have and are still doing so.

Actually, I am familiar with SNAP. I personally know the man who was responsible for bringing to attention this problem in the Church. Gary Bergeron is his name. He gave me the book he wrote detailing his experiences.

It has hurt the catholic church. It has made everyone - I mean harldy anyone does not know of their pedofile priest problems. It has made them to butt of jokes on late night TV. It has hurt their credibility, and around this area, mostly only the uneducated attend. Sort of like jws.
