"like fitting a condom over a bowling ball"
Well, with enough lubricant (spin) I suppose anything is possible.

Is it me or is applying Revelation to the Watch Tower and the Annointed like fitting a condom over a bowling ball???

I think you're being quite generous, but I like the analogy.

    I'm thinking a banana in a tunnel - now there's an anal-ogy!

james_woods, the real anomaly with this book is that it actually includes language early in the text that says that the interpretations in the book are not claimed to be infallible:

*** re chap. 2 p. 9 The Grand Theme of the Bible ***

It is not claimed that the explanations in this publication are infallible. Like Joseph of old, we say: “Do not interpretations belong to God?” (Genesis 40:8) At the same time, however, we firmly believe that the explanations set forth herein harmonize with the Bible in its entirety, showing how remarkably divine prophecy has been fulfilled in the world events of our catastrophic times.

I recall that I actually liked it. That was the red book, right? What an appropriate color choice.

We were studying the Rev book in the 1990s when I finially learned the truth about the "truth." After I was able to break the "watchtower code" I would read the material during the book study and be overwhelmed with how much it was a load of crap.

The scary part is that I studied the book several times prior and never caught on to what was being said. What I did not understand I attribituted to it being the "deep things of god."
