What must a brother do to become a MS and Elder the fastest possible

  OK experienced ones, tell me what a brother must do to make it to the top the fastest possible

  Once a friend MS told me that it wasn't normal for any brother, baptized since 2 years, not to be a MS by now. I guess he meant me..... Probably I was doing something wrong...

  I just asked my boyfriend this. He was made an ms less than 2 years after he was baptised, and he wasn't raised as a jw, becoming one at the age of 41. He said he didn't "do" anything really, just got on with trying to be a loyal jw, became a regular pioneer 7 months after baptism, and carried out all the assignments he was given. Obviously, the elders thought this attitude qualified him to be an ms, and this in a kh where there were already 9 elders and 8 servants, so they weren't short of "qualified" men.

  He thinks that if you are, or appear to be, toeing the wts line, and aren't arrogant in any way, you will be appointed sooner rather than later, at least in our old kh anyway.

  LH, as we know, the Holy Spirit is the force that appoints men to be ministerial servants and elders. They are not appointed by other men; it may appear that way, but the Holy Spirit is just using those men to make the appointment. Let's see what God's Inspired Word, the New World Translation, says about the requirements to be a ministerial servant, in 1 Tim. 3:

  8 Ministerial servants should likewise be serious, not double-tongued, not giving themselves to a lot of wine, not greedy of dishonest gain, 9 holding the sacred secret of the faith with a clean conscience.
  10 Also, let these be tested as to fitness first, then let them serve as ministers, as they are free from accusation. [...]
  12 Let ministerial servants be husbands of one wife, presiding in a fine manner over children and their own households.

  Okay, so what does the Holy Spirit require...

  • You may not tell jokes.
  • You may not posess more than one tongue.
  • You may not drink a lot of wine.
  • You can't be greedy of dishonest gain. Greed for honest gain, on the other hand, is permitted.
  • You must keep your faith a secret, and do so conscientiously.
  • You must be able to bench at least 175; and run 5 miles. There will be a test given to determine this.
  • If anyone accuses you of anything, you're out. It doesn't matter whether the accusation is true.
  • You must have a wife (only one, mind you), and children.

  There, you got that stuff? Then you can be a ministerial servant.

  Again, the Holy Spirit is the one doing the appointing, not the men.

  For this method, you only have to show up at all the meetings, comment some during the Q&A's (you may simply read verbatim back what the paragraph says), and turn in a "time slip" with at least 10 hours on it. The Holy Spirit does not care if you actually put in this time. The Holy Spirit only wants you to turn in the slip with the time on it. It is inconsequential to the Holy Spirit whether the men it uses to appoint you believe that you put in this time or not--the Holy Spirit is the one that does the deciding here.

  Honestly?

  Average 10 hours in service, answer more than once per meeting, do what you are told, don't rock any "boats", and you'll be an MS in 1 year or less.

  They are really getting desperate--3 of the above 4 will probably get you in now.
