the bible says there would be a point in time called the last days the time of the end.when jehovah.would take action.at this time Jesus will judge as king of Gods kingdom.
PMJ2,
The Watchtower Society misled many of us into thinking that "the last days" is a period connected with Christ's return. But Hebrews 1:2 says this: "God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, in these last days has spoken to us in His Son." Of course, if you read this in the New World Translation, you may note that it tries to hide the fact that the last days began in the first century.
But here is what Romans 13:11, 12, says: "[Do] this, too, because you people know the season, that it is already the hour for you to awake from sleep, for now our salvation is nearer than at the time when we became believers. The night is well along; the day has drawn near." Verse 11 says that "it is already the hour."
And then, there's 1 Peter 4:7: "But the end of all things has drawn close. Be sound in mind, therefore, and be vigilant with a view to prayers."
"But," somebody will say, "the Bible speaks of a coming period called 'the last days'." JWs refer to 2 Timothy 3:1-5, where the Apostle Paul put it this way: "But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, betrayers, headstrong, puffed up [with pride], lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power; and from these turn away."
Notice that Paul was writing about people in his own day. He told Timothy that he himself should "turn away" from such people. And that sounds very much like the closing words of the first chapter of Romans, which speaks of a time of incredible inhumanity, when senseless violence will occur, when people will seemingly forsake all the normal strictures against injury to others and there will be crimes of incredible malice and evil. That time of Romans 1 was the first century, and those last days have continued down to our day.
The Watchtower Society says the last days began in 1914, but the Bible writer says they existed during the ministry of Jesus, when God spoke "to us by means of a Son." (Hebrews 1:2, New World Translation) WHO DO YOU BELIEVE, the Bible writer or the Watchtower Society? I prefer the Bible.
