Joelbear/Radar: It's basically summed up with faith or non-faith.

I have faith in Jesus and the Bible based on creation, history, etc. That's me. If you don't have that faith, that's you. I can't bash you for it, I don't condemn you, I don't hate you, that's how you feel and I accept that.

No since arguing the un-arguable (is that a word??) since our foundations are on two totally separate starting points.

No anger, just no point in the mini debates on this particular thread about something we are totally opposite on! I'm moving on. :)

ANyone that has actually got it to work, can you give me any advice as I just want to see if it works for myself. And as it will be just a trial, I don't wish to buy a board or anything?

    Bridgette and all

    It is a interesting subject.

I was watching a documentry last night about how some scientists are begining to find that our mental processes, can affect things outside the confines of our human brain. It showed how prayer does appear to work. They were not saying that God was doing this, but there does seem to be something in operation here that is challenging conventional scientific thought.

    Faith is simply superstition.

    Radar,
There is a neurologist, Dr. Neil Schraeder that is doing some pretty phenomenal research in the area of the power of the human mind. And it would appear that when you get a collective consciousness working toward the same goal (i.e, prayers to heal the sick) it really does work. I, myself, have seen spells work. It's all in our heads. BUT our "heads" are extremely powerful. I truly believe there's a scientific explanation for everything and what we call magick or miracles will be explained (already, quantum physics tells us a lot). There's a lot of research being done on the paranormal. One of my colleagues went to Duke University and told me they've got a whole section devoted to the research of the paranormal.
Anyway, I wish I had seen the program you're talking about.

    Vienna,

I explained earlier how they work. The demons have nothing to do with it. Since I am here, let me ask you. What else do you think the demons do? Inhabit sofas, cause mental illness?

We know from the Bible that demons do exist. They are here because God cast them out of heaven along with Satan. They are tempting us and we have the free will to sin or to remain faithfull. Just because we sin sometimes does not mean that we are possessed though and not all temptation comes directly from Satan or demons we are tempted when others influence us. Tarot cards, psychics, soothsayers, ouiji boards are a way to get into us. We open ourselves up to that realm if we dabble in those things of the devil.

    Brigette,
I like your thoughts. Sounds a lot like what my husband and I believe in. I do not believe the demons are causing this phenomenom either. But I do believe that as time goes on, we will have a better understanding of quantum physics and how it all works together.
And don't even get me started on collective concious.
    Larc,
I do believe there is something to be said for kinetic energy as well.

aaah, thinkers wife! a woman after my own heart. Speaking of collective conscieousness, have you read any Jung? Good stuff.

    Cindy,
As I stated in an earlier post, I am a regular user of the Tarot. I have never met or felt or had any contact with anything "otherworldly". Don't worry, I'm not trying to dissuade you from your beliefs, or get you to try Tarot. But I'm just giving the perspective from one who has used them, extensively. It's all your belief system. If you believe you are going to see demons with a pack of Tarot, then your mind will manifest that. The human mind is powerful beyond our current comprehension. I also use many other mediums to access my higher conscieousness. Never any demons. In fact, according to Paul of the bible, the fruits of the spirit are love (got it), joy (everyday I wake up alive!), peace (definitely--inward adn outward--no depression the whole time I've been out of "god's org"), long-suffering (i'm a mother, so I'm very patient), goodness, kindness, mildness (got 'em, if I do say so myself), self control (meditation has taught me more self control, not just of my body, but my mind and spirit, than I ever had as JW). So, I don't think by your biblical belief system, it could be said that I could be bothered by demons while displaying the fruits of the spirit. Of course, that's not my beleif system. I just love to love, and have joy because I'm happy now, etc. But maybe this helps expound.
    Peace,
    Bridgette
