When they announce the first gay witness wedding I might - I am not gay, but love all people. Especially if they have an interfaith ceremony with a female priest. [snicker]

You should have come with me to the meeting a few years back... still snicker about that today!!!!

Not for a wedding, maybe for a funeral.

But also just for entertainment value. I've never done it, but I've often considered it. It would be fun to show up in jeans and a t-shirt, get love-bombed, probably invited to lunch. Then, just when their salivation levels reached critical and they offered a bible study, I could say, "Nah, I don't think so. When I turned apostate and was disfellowshipped, I decided the JW's really weren't for me. Thanks though. Anyone want pie?"

    MMmmmm... pie-rony.....

NEVER, NEVER AND NEVER!!!!!! Where I'm from ONLY witnesses have feelings and grieve. I found that one out at my gramas funeral.

I would however visit the grave at a later time and if it was a family member, I would have my own private memorial for them.

No. If any jw that I knew died, I wouldn't even know about it. That includes (so-called) family.

Last year when my JW wifes mother, also a JW, died. I thought long about attending the funeral. But in the end decided I just couldn't bring myself to go into a Kingdom Hall. Also they thought of facing people who at one time I considered friends, but when it came to a time I needed help, they disappeared. I may have ended up saying a few things.

As it turned out the Elders decided two days before the funeral that the Kingdom Hall, after giving permission earlier, couldn't be used because my wifes mother was an "inactive" witness.
