I have never seen a comment about that from the wts, and the genesis account doesn't mention where the olive branch that the dove took back to the ark came from, so I doubt the wts would be able to say.

I recall certain articles in the Watchtower and Awake speculating that Noah took seeds with him into the ark. This poses a big problem since thousands of plant life are specifically suited to local climates and regions. For example, there are certain plants that do not grow anywhere else on earth except in the Amazon Basin.

there was no earth-wide flood. the entire flood story was passed down from generation to generation in memory of some ancient, traumatic regional flooding.

ITS OCCURS TO ONE THAT THE FLOOF WOULD HAVE DESTROYED VIRTUALLY ALL VEGETATION,SO WHERE DOES WT SAY POST FLOOD VEGETATION COME FROM? I dont know what the wt says but here in florida there are floods and when the water drys up the vegetation is stil there. Then vegetation produces seeds which would produce more vegetation. All kinds of vegetation lives underwater. If there was a flood. I suppose Noah could have brought various seeds on board. Im more concerned about what kind of God would know the begining from the end. And create a situation that he would get so out of control and so mad that he would destroy everything. When he knew he would do that to begin with. Thats kind of scary. And then he would send himself to sacrafice himself (if your christian) or send his son to sacrafice himself if your JW which he knew he would because he knows everything. Thats even more scary. Sounds like a story some men made up to try and control those stuck on stupid.

Yeah, that part never flew with me. It really makes God sound pretty human, right? Kill everyone and nearly everything off, only to have evil people once more? Real farsighted!

The only way you can make the Flood work is by resorting to "God made a miracle occur to __________," and then insert whatever problem arises from a scientific consideration of the flood. God becomes the "glue" to hold the whole story together, which begs an even bigger question: if God needed all those miracles to keep Noah, his family, and his animals alive, wouldn't it just be easier to smite all the "bad people" at once? Or does God have an incredible flair for the dramatic?

Even the ending smacks of a fable. God gave the rainbow "as a promise that he would never flood the earth again." So light reflecting off mist never produced a rainbow before? Sorry...not buying it anymore.
