Does the bible ever actually say there will be modern day parallels for anything? (serious question)

Not really. The people who wrote the New Testament clearly expected that everything they claimed Jesus predicted would be fulfilled in their own time. For example, Peter clearly stated that they were in "the last days" at the time he wrote, which was before the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. There are plenty of other NT examples. Peter clearly expected that everything that Jesus supposedly prophesied would come to pass exactly as written in the Gospels and the rest of the NT. There is no indication whatsoever in the NT that its writers expected that things would go cycling on for another 2000+ years.
Thinking of modern-day "parallels" for things clearly expected for the 1st century is really admitting that a good deal of what NT writers claimed would happen in the 1st century did not happen. But, according to this 'logic', the fact that a great deal that was predicted did not happen is 'proof' fhat the prophecies must have been future from the time that the last accepted Bible writers wrote their material. This is circular reasoning at its finest.

They are such shameless and unrepentant false prophets, with a lot of twisted religious reasonings. 1975 was not the only false prediction they made.

Ya, but what kind of hope are they gonna be able to give the aliens? The bible says that Jesus only died for men on planet earth, so those poor bastards who were born after 1935 on Mars can't even look forward to an "earthly hope".
They'll say, "The word 'Earth' was meant to mean our immediate area. This would include all we can see in our surroundings. We know that Mars is visible to us and always was. So when the Bible says 'All nations' would we not conclude that every nation was taken into consideration, even foreign? This proves the wisdom of Jesus since he knew of the coming of nations, here and abroad. (WAY abroad!-ha ha) Let us thank our wonderful creator for giving us our food at the proper time."

Why did the Israelites have to turn back? LACK OF FAITH!!!!
From what I know about 1975, there was certainly no lack of faith. There was TOO MUCH FAITH put in the words of men claiming to speak for God.
Am I right or wrong?
