Oh come on. You're not going to make me find this, are you? I know it's there, but it would take hours to find it. It was in a study question. "What happifying experience...(something about the annointed)..."

At Bethel I was told that I would get an "extra day of everlasting life".

LOL! I hardly think that was meant seriously (tell me it wasn't meant seriously). I've only ever heard that expression used tongue-in-cheek with brothers that are either self-righteous (not that you were) or with those who try too hard.

The phrase, "for that you'll get an extra day of everlasting life" was a sort of sarcastic phrase I heard many times over the years as a JW. It's sort of like the worldly, but often happifying, expression, "That (thought, comment, attitude, expression), and a quarter, will get you a cup of coffee." (At Starbucks, substitute $4.95 for quarter).

or he's trying to reach out,

or "are you going to auxiliary next month brother?"

or will he/she take the emblems?

    From the platform...

"worldly people" - as opposed to ones who are not JW's, sounds Amish to me

    "true Christians" - self designated

"the Society" - is that the same society Fred Flintstone belonged to, cultish for sure

"the Mother" - referring to GB back at Bethel? or

"listen to the Mother" - what?

"the branch office says" - that's a wierd one. Does that just mean here in the US?

Millions more. I will have to do some thinking...

Happifying isn't even in the dictionary, I just checked. What a stupid word

I think it was invented by Muggles.

Some phrases that annoyed the hell out of me were:

    1. Present truths
    2. Surely this is another fine indication that Jehovah is blessing his Organization
    3. The "spiritual banquet that's prepared for us 5 times a week"
    4. New light has flashed up
    5. Mature Christians would never, blah, blah, blah
    6. This System of Things is doomed
    7. Weak in the Truth
    8. Lack of appreciation for spiritual matters
    9. Can we see you in the back for a little chat?
    10. The Faithful and Discreet Slave has blah, blah, blah.....
