Jh The Toyota yaris is an entry level toyota but toyota is a fine car. Your first oil change should be at 3000 miles or go by your owners manual for scheduled maintenance. DO NOT USE PENNZOIL IN YOUR CAR! Here is the reason you have FIPG for a lot of the metal parts holding together for example the valve covers and the oil pan and front and rear main seals. the additive in pennzoil dissolves fipg much like when you mix dishwashing detergent with grease it dissolves it like water same thing with pennzoil and fipg Nissan has no gaskets all fipg and they suffer the worst all Japanese and Korean cars do. I don't even carry Pennzoil in my shop if you want Pennzoil I have you sign a disclaimer we are nor responsible for oil leaks or damage to the engine.

    Hi Hambeak...!

Are you able to give me some general advice on Aussie cars? I think they are pretty much the same though.

I drive a 2000 Mazda 323 (Astina). I had a new engine put in it January of this year and probably done 4000kms in it since then. Sometimes i notice that it seems to lack power. Or if I am driving up a hill it seems to lose revs... Is it something serious? Or is is just needing an early service?

Juni Look under the car by the inside wheel you will see a rubber boot. When you turn to the right you will hear a clunk if it the cv axle on the right side as well as on the left only on front wheel drive vehicles. It might also be a ball joint but I doubt it. more than likely a cvaxle. If the boot is torn or separated take a flash light and look where the axle goes to the wheel see if it is separated. If so have it replaced and then have the front end alligned

Yes, I have a question. I'm on the verge of buying a new ford F150, with 5.4 L eng but I've read, mainly Consumers Reports magazine, of problems with the driveline (transmission? I don't know). Has that problem been corrected. My other choice is a Toyota Tundra 4.7 L eng which seems to be rated very highly by Consumers Reports and everything else I've read. I would use it to pull a 5,500 lbs trailer.

Do you have any recommendation on either vehicle?

I did not know that. I don't use Pennzoil, but thanks for the heads up.

Miss Peaches Mazdas are unique. In America they tend to self destruct at 150,000 miles. If you have acceleration problems it could be just about anything. I am not sure of the emmision requirements in the UK but here in America they are quite stringent. It could be a sensor as there are dozens of them on your car is your check engine light on? Also only use ngk or denso spark plugs in Japanese cars NEVER bosch as they burn too hot and burn out the ignition coil and the modulator.

Is it true that I can make an old car stop stalling and dieseling by changing the air in the tires?

Mckay If you are going to tow frequently get an F250 make sure the transmission has good torque for your towing needs as it is the transmission that takes the brunt of it not the engine. Toyota Tundra has a weak transmission and many have been recalled they are good trucks but suck with towing capabilities. If you want the bazumba of towing trucks get one with the cummings diesel as they are virtually indestructable and good for 500,000 miles or more
