Slightly off topic from this thread although it was mentioned how Bethel spreads false rumors to denigrate DF'd people.
It was Cambell who told me Ray Franz had lunch with Ed Dunlap. Was more than lunch as they were sharing notes, implying plotting something.
Yet we now know, Franz never had that infamous lunch with Ed.
Why would Cambell spread the story? Lunch with a former Elder down south doesn't sound like a grave sin, no? But a stratagy session with Dunlap does.
When we talked about the Memorial talk, he said, no it wasn't Franz, but Dunlap gave it and 79 partook. I was flabbergasted at the time, but more surprised to find out Franz did give the talk and only a couple partook.
Asked Cambell how did the story break? His answer? The Spanish translators were changing doctrine in the magazines with Ray's approval. Hellfire was one and all were partakers.
Bethel rumors? Bethel Gossip? Hardly. With what I know now, it was planted and spun on purpose.
