I am not too sure if the "Big Announcement" was misinformation. The origin was a quote about something special in October that many would not like. I am quite sure this referes to the new tract which contains a less soft message.

It bugs me too. But being a witness for so long has made me jaded and suspicious. I investigate everything, unless it sounds totally "hoakie" and then I just disregard it completly.

I agree with Blondie, it may not be intentional. They probably got bad info from above them.

you know the types that are always looking for help and advice and suddenly vanish off the face of the earth after they're done having their fun

That is funner than any joke I have heard in a long time......and sooooo true! HAHAHHAHAHAHAHa

To be fair --The problem sometimes is finding the password to return back to this web site if one deletes the cookies. I know that has happened to me.

    "bother me?" - No....

of course active dubs would love to pounce on things as proof we were all crazy apostates...but after all what is this place anyway? A message board that is all. It is open to all and lightly moderated . It does not set itself up as a "Channel of information" like a certain magazine that we all know.

Of course rumours will spread, because people are human, just being people..

A "spirit of a sound mind" will cause us to wait until things are confirmed before being excited

You know how I got when someone equated the small plane crash in NYC with another 9/11, so misinformation or being too quick to draw misinformed conclusions bothers me.

I agree with German XJW that the 'big announcement' was simply the False Religion tract, which will come and go in the world scheme of things without even rippling the surface.

I dislike it when people who are admittedly ignorant of something talk about it like they knew what they were doing (ie: Dido on LOTS of issues: evolution, women's rights, invisible spirits), and I dislike people misrepresenting the WTS when there is really no need to make things worse than they actually are.

Seeker4 is the smartest of all of us.

When some people disagrees with you they get nasty that his or her proof they are correct and the other guy is wrong. This is all some posters need and if anyone says something differrent that poster thinks the other poster is giving misinforamtion.

In any discussion both side give misinformation, because it is a debate and debating means showing why you think the way you do. Just because a person demands that he correct and his information is correct it don't mean it is. So, I don't get mad if someone gives wrong information it is the way he see it at the time. Most people do not do give misinformation deliberately.

But most of all Like I said I hate nasty posters.
