What is a Fisher?
The fisher is primarily nocturnal, but will occasionally venture out during the day. Usually it spends the day sleeping inside hollow trees or logs.
It is aggressive and will eat just about anything it can kill, especially small mammals, birds, fish, and insects.
It is one of the few carnivores that preys on porcupine. When the porcupine takes refuge in trees, the fisher follows.
Because it is able to descend trees head-first, the fisher attacks the porcupine from above, biting its face — one of the few places without spines — and avoiding its quills.
It may gorge itself for two days on the carcass of one porcupine.

sometimes, I don't know what to believe, but this experience with my daughters taught me to not disallow others beliefs in things not beheld i.e. bigfoot. One one day in 1991, me, my wife and two daughters, seen mule deer, elk, antelope, big horn sheep and mountain goats all within about a 4 hour time span. Later that day we met some people up in the mountains where we were sightseeing and mentioned that we had seen the big horn sheep and moutnain goats, they (this couple and family) had lived in this area of Colorado for over 50 years and had never seen either a mountain goat or a big horn sheep. We told them just where we had seen them and they immediately left. probably in hopes of getting to see them before they went back into the wild country.
I grew up in Colorado and it always amazed me to talk with school mates and acquaintances who had hunted the high country and never seen any wild Bear. We my family and I have seen quite a few of them, and in fact have shot and killed two of them. My mother was one of the few people in our area that actually knew how to prepare and cook bear meat, which she learned to do in the mountains of Oregon. We lived around Hood River for several years.
So people claiming to see things doesn't surprise me, I mean Hell some Texans (not to put them down) have actually believed that some wild cattle are deer and have shot them believing such. And they lived in texas (cattle country/state) they weren't even Easterners so I don't doubt the veracity of some sightings its just what was it they actually sighted?????
But who knows, it was several years ago remember reading about a deer type creature discovered in South Vietnam, whose mountains I ran around in for 3 tours and had never seen an animal like that. So there are things out there we probably haven't really discovered yet but who knows right?

Of course, Bigfood is real. It's as real as Nessie, Yeti, aliens, and present-day dinosaurs living on a remote tropical island. It's as real as the WTS's promises of the new world (coming "real soon now").

There was a televised documentary recently on this topic, Discovery Channel or National Geographic, about a year ago. They were exploring the many sightings in the Forks, Washington area. Even President Teddy Roosevelt had come to look for the creature, as there had been many sightings. Check Google for "Gigantor" which is what current researchers (legitimate researchers) are calling the creature.
As for me, I know it is real. My husband and I both saw it, just outside of Forks, Washington. Up until then we hadn't had any opinion about it one way or the other.
