Nope, believe it or not they never have. For some reason I was always postponing to do that, it just felt creepy. Now I'm glad I never did it.
Do Your Medical Records Still Say That You Are A Jehovah's Witness?

OMG I never actually thought about that till now. I will write to my docs and make sure there is nothing on mine or my children's records.

I left the borg b4 I was 18 so this is not an issue for me. I have made it clear to my doctor that I do not want my mom making medical decisions for me. I have listed 3 different people who can make medical decisions for me and will see to it I get blood if necessary.

I think it's finally out of mine but it took two tries. Those things seem to linger in records both hard copy and on line. Now when I'm in the hospital, I write on my paper work that "I have no objection to any treatments involving blood or blood transfusion." A few weeks ago I nearly needed blood and asked to sign the permission early. I didn't need it - and I still don't take the risks lightly - but if it came to truly needing one, I want it!

If I make an appointment, I can view my medical records and I do checking to make sure that everything is correct. I can't take them with me but I can make copies (for a fee). I did this once and found pages from relatives records in my file...............
I check every year and be sure to have a current health care proxy (not necessarily the same as a living will) on file with my GP, all specialists I see, my clinic, the hospital, and the ER room. When we travel we let our alternative proxies know when and where we are going so there are no suprises.

Last year I went to the hospital for some outpatient surgery. I had been to this hospital before for the birth of my daughter.
They printed out my admission forms, and asked me to make sure everything was correct.
I had them change two things: I had them take "Jehovah's Witness" off the "Religious Affiliation" line, and I had them take my EX-husband of 12 years name off of the "Contact in Case of Emergency" line!

Oooh, another good point.
At work we fill out a confidential electronic file as to who to contact if we are injured at work. Do you have that? It is good to check and see if that is up to date.
