Lots of people on this board say that the JWs don't pay any attention to JC- like, they're not Christ-centric at all.- are the JWs getting flack about that?
Could that be the reason? this new title sounds really different from what the convention titles usually are: like "Jehovah's Great Day of Vengence at Hand!" n stuff.

What came to my mind when I read this was how the jw always refer to Jesus as the Christ. Now, according to the jw, the christ means the annointed - same as the messiah. Those inside the jw who profess to go to heaven are also called the annointed. So, is this telling the faithful to follow Jesus Christ or their own self-professed annointed? Or is it a clever way to be sending out both message: that Jesus should be referred to as the christ and that the faithful should follow these annointed men?

Perhaps Abandoned they are subtly trying to put the remaining anointed on the same level as Jesus. It wouldn't be too hard for them to do.
In JW land - The governing body are members of the anointed class - but they are no more special than any other member of that class. However, as representatives of that class they have the authority to boss other class members around.
Why not stretch that to say - The anointed class is anointed the same as Jesus. Even though Jesus was elected to represent the anointed class in heaven they are all anointed and thus on an equal basis before Jehovah. However, since Jesus is the son of God and has been chosen as the representative on all anointed he has the right to boss other class members around.
It doesn't make sense to me, but what do I know.

Nahhh.....I don't believe this. It goes so contrary to everything the WTS teaches or says. The only possible way for this to have any grain of truth is, that heads have gotten together at HQ's and decided that to "sound" more mainstream, they would "push" this at the public to appear more palatable. I am positive that the WTS isn't budging on its peculiar and oddball ideas even for a moment!

I think it will be like abandoned and listener said, they will eaquate the christ w the goobernator body, and jesus w be left in the closet, or the recycling bin. That way, they can be christians without jesus.
