The way stores operate these days you could probably return it to KMART! Really though, take it back. Don't eat the money, they'll take it back. Unless of course it cooks the best damned hot dogs you've ever had and you want to cook hot dogs once a year in style! Of course we know the source of this superior product, just look closer at the machine itself!

Showtime knife set from an infomercial. The purchase started out at about $40.00 and by the time I was done I had bought two sets of knives, two of the knife holders an additional chopper and some other stuff. My purchase came to well over $200.00 . I bought the Popeil pasta maker years ago while watching TV late at night on vacation and another one for a gift. At least I still use it. I don't know what it is about Ron Popeil but can talk me into buying anything. Good thing he isn't a cult leader.

I paid $250 for an mp3 player from Best Buy a long time before they became popular. I had buyers remorse for about a week until I understood everything that it could do. After 2 weeks, I very happy that I had bought it. Now I can't live without it.
Most of the time when I go shopping and I see something expensive that I want, I use the 1 hour rule I made up. I stay in the store for 1 hour and think about it. If I still want it after that hour, I get it. Most of the time I put stuff back. There's no telling how much $$ I've saved myself by doing that.

The absolute worst thing I ever bought was the WBTS teachings. I owned it for about 35 years mainly because it advertised it came with a lifetime guaranty. I tried to read the directions but they were strange and required too many steps. I called their help desk but everytime I got the same responses, that I was reading too much into it or they never meant it that way.. I inquired about the lifetime warranty to which they said it has been revised a few times, apparently once in 1914, again in 1925 and most recently 1975. I tried and tried to recieve compensation for my "lost" time trying to figure this thing out, but everytime I call now all I get is recorded messages.
Oh well, live and learn I guess. I recently had a garage sale and tried to give it away but sadly no takers. apparently, this faulty mechanism has been found out. so.. on the shelf it goes with my get rich quick at real estate tapes,ostridge rangling opportunity info and Ginsu knive collection.

I hate most of those kitchen gadgets. We got a whole bunch as wedding presents, and have eliminated a few. There was one gift that was both great and horrible. We got a George Foreman Fat Grilling Lean Piece of Shit Machine. I hate that goddam thing, not because it doesn't work, but because it's a pain in the ass to clean. It's such a clumsy, user-unfriendly design - try switching grease trays without spilling it when one fills up. Oh yeah, try getting rid of the grease too. That oval shoe that it pours into sucks.
Strapped to the Foreman grill was a Toastmaster flat grill. We've used that thing over and over again, and it's fantastic! Go figure, it was bundled free with the Foreman grill.
