JWs like that only want to live under the Law Code when they are applying it to others. It shows how the constant use of the OT and OT examples turns JWs into Israelites and Pharisees not Christians.

That is great Blondie...and it also shows such a different agenda that the new testiment has compared to the old. The scrip that backes up the stoning is in Duet 21:18-21....Like it was said...the old law cov. I am so glad that I don't think she is right anymore!

All I thought of was " let him/her without sin cast the first stone", maybe she has heard of it? funny being stoned, it reminds me of so many witnesses I knew back in the 60' s and 70's who are elders and MS now.

megsmomma...the other thing about that bothers me about that reasoning....I have two sons....I would die myself, before stoning them....I don't care what it would cost me....Abraham, Isaac yada yada I know....I still would not sacrifice my child for my own benefit.

G-pa John....That put a funny image in my head...Our mothers, dressed in "field service" clothes, going to a field somewhere with stuffed body doubles of us...practicing throwing stones at us and having a good ol time! (Oh,oh.....and who is coming to meet them there?? MILs worst nightmare's MIL !) They MUST do this you see, in case JEHOVAH requires it as a last test to enter the NEW WORLD!

Nightmare....I completely agree....and anyone reasonable would do the same for their kids. They really misapply the scripture about how in the time of the end, some will have no natural affection. It is very much applicable to THEM.

Natural affection.....my boys feel much closer to the nonJW side of the family who live 1200 miles away, than their JW grandmother who lives down the street.

Now that's natural affection for you. It must have been helped along by all those Xmas's we spent up in Chicago.
