    I'm afraid this site will not accept foreign fonts (already tried and failed).

    Ok that's ok. However, how do I make foreign fonts work on my computer?

    German -> Ich liebe Dich

    Portuguese -> Eu te amo

    Croatian -> Volim te

    Latin -> Te amo

    Oh wow, latin. Now that's neat. How cool!

    Thank you Jw for this. One of the things I need to be able to know for certainty if the I Love You's are romantic or non romantic. That's my biggest problem.

    It actually started when I assumed that Te Amo would be proper. But when I did a search, the question arose as to whether Te Amo or Te Quiero is more appropriate. As one could mean, I want you (intimately). Let's just say if I'm going to put this on a shirt for a toddler, and they're toddling around with "I want You" in a foreign language I might get a bad rep for that

    Compound Complex: Interesting reference, sounding familiar....

    Fokyc: You have a pm (thank you)

    There are many poetic ways of symbolically expressing love as well. To avoid offering the cliché "I love you" you might want to try finding a more complex equivalent expression in the verbiage of verse and prose.

    Eres mi vida. = You are my life. (familiar)

    Eres mi respiracion. = You are my breath. (familiar)

    Eres mi corazón. = You are my heart. (familiar)

    In the case of my wife, I say to her: "Eres la esposa de mi corazón." Which means, "You are the wife of my heart."

    Respectfully,
    AuldSoul

    Oops, in my earlier post I was trying to remember a line from an old song, "Lady Marmalade", in which I had been told by a Belgian friend that the line: "Voulez vous coucher avec moi" actually did translate as "make love to me". however, I obviously did not remember the full line, and perhaps my Belgian friend did not provide an accurate translation.
