Thank you!!! You can PM me if you want. I'll let you know if I hear back from them. Thinking about it, Oprah's a possibility, too. So is her book-reading club, if anyone has a notion to put together something to bring to her notice for that. It would certainly get a lot of coverage.

What about sitting in front of JC of 3 men with your 17-year-old daughter as they question her about all the details of her sexual encounter that came to the elders attention. I mean they wanted to know every little detail. It even made me, her own mother, blush. I felt this was extremely inappropriate, and quite frankly all these details was none of their business. What a bunch of sick perverts! The public needs to be aware of how the handle their "judicial committees" with minors.

"I'll be very surprised if Dr. Phil Show calls though. He has ignored all emails and phone calls when it comes to THIS cult." - skally Is this so? I wonder why?

My parents already shun me. I just hate to upset them anymore. They are gong through so much already. It is hard for them but they think they are doing the right thing. The topic I wanted to respond to was something about your parents seperating themselves from you because of some conflict. I do not remember the right words.

I think he avoids this cult because he doesn't want to stir up controversy.

Hannah . . .is it legal in your state to allow adults to glean from 17 year old girls their most secret and personal sexual experiences ? Sounds like the elders have crossed the line to me.Why don't you telephone the authorities and find out for sure. If it is illegal they could set a sting and nab the lecherous lowlifes.

Hannah--- Sorry you and your daughter went through that! I don't think the details were about lechery, though. They actually have an official guideline that breaks down which sexual behaviors/ acts fall under categories of wrongdoing (and, therefore, warrant which label/ punishment), just like the legal justice system. In my (one year) post-divorce JC for fornication--I came to them with the news, BTW--no details were asked for or discussed. I can't even imagine what you/ your daughter must have went through!

Candidlynuts----- How would you feel about lending your [if necessary, disguised] voice to the forum on sleep rape issues, if we do get an airing on the Dr. Phil Show (or any other reputable show, for that matter)? Your firsthand experience makes your voice a crucial one for people to hear---victims, their loved ones, perps, and the general public alike. Please think about it.

Yes, I realize that. However, either you've had coition or not. Plain and simple. Why do they need the details of all the "fluff" if coition did occur?

That I don't know, but definately a great question. The only problem is that this whole thing happened about nearly 2 years ago. Not to mention that they would twist their words and lie to the authorities to fit the JW agenda. As hindsight is 20/20, I should had hidden recorder in my bag.

I agree with sf on this. Both the Oprah show and Dr Phil have been very reluctant to address the issue of the Watchtower and JWs. The threat of a lawsuit by the WTS is something they would both shy away from.

But the issue of sleep-rape and the sexual assault of wives minus the religious aspect might appeal to either of them.

So I think the issue can be addressed if you leave out the WTS.

J-ex-W You asked me on the other thread if I would be willing to participate in a show if they did it. Both shows have a long list of experts they use to discuss these issues. I just can't see them asking a person from another country to come in and discuss issues in the US. I don't even recall any person from Canada even being on the show. It is just simpler to find an American who can discuss the issue.

Now if the issue was addressed here in Canada yup I'd be there if they asked
