I am not sure if this has been already brought up but I got a glimpse at the Feb 07 Kingdom Ministry. The Watchtower leaders seem to be convinced that the mechanics of tract campaigns to push numbers are a success. Another one will be started in mid-March to announce the JW memorial. Same mechanics, each publisher gets 50 tracts, pioneers 150. Maybe this will push the number of annointed as well. :-)

Hi German XJW,
Yes, it is all too typical for the GB to claim that their campaigns are a big success, or will cause ire among the public leading to persecution. It is all a joke designed to pump out literature and keep the JWs running around silly. I am sure that the Society hopes that their efforst will increase numbers of new JWs ... but the truth is, they are not really growing in western nations. As the third-world nations advance more with Internet access, the JW religion will eventually face its final demise.

I wonder if I'm invited to the memorial. Hmmm, I wonder if there is some way I could attend and then plant little seeds of reality to as many as possible.... Hmm.....

Interesting. I think only number that jumped much of a percentage this last service year was the number of partakers! Maybe it'll happen again.
And yes, the tract work is only for the benefit of JWs, pumping up a sense of doing something when it's just busy work.

But Seeker they are making claims of some sort. They are rallying the troops and spinning them like tops. My personal experience is that the quiet ones who have always been laid back and easy going when it comes to the belief and the hard line are even getting worked up. I know that they are making some sort of claim about that stupid tract of theirs. So the question becomes are they going to claim it is 1) the beginning of the end; 2) bringing more people in; 3) [fill in your guess here]?

JWs fail to realize that most Christians are appalled at the way the WTS conducts the "Memorial" by having everyone refuse the Eucharist.
When most Christians see a large gathering refuse the Eucharist they tend to associate it with Satanic rituals.

Actually, a few years back the WTS did several tract campaigns in a row when there was a decrease in publishers (1977-1979). I wondered if it worked back then?
