But, but, but, I thought Jehovah could hear the groanings of men's hearts. We all start out in a state of sin, do we not? Why else would he respond by giving up his Son?

edited to add: Just trying out an argument here. How do you think it would work on a JW?

    jgnat:

Some JWs would hold fast to whatever comes forth from Mother-Org! But I have known many JWs that feel that it would be up to whether a disfellowshipped person was showing repentance, and many would say that it would be up to Jehovah because He can read the heart.

There are many JWs that do show empathy even when the Borganization does not. Some JWs try to show concern for a disfellowshipped person, its just that they don't want to get caught.

When Nevada and I are in Wal-Mart for instance, several JWs have walked up to us and shook our hands and had a nice conversation with us as long as it was not concerning spiritual matters. But, if they think that they might get noticed by another JW who might be in the store, then they hurry-away to secure their spiritual safety.

I speak with an Elder on a regular basis and he knows exactly who I am knowing full well I am disfellowshipped, and in fact, he purchases items from Randy Watters whenever something new is advertised.

He sends me books from right behind the literature counter on a regular basis. The book I posted, "What Does The Bible Really Teach" came from him!

    Thanks jgnat!

    Cheers! Atlantis.

So individual JW's may show greater mercy than the god they claim to worship. You'd think they'd figure out something stinks in that arrangement!

Right! You would think that they would open their eyes to this deception, but as long as the Watchtower dangles that carrot out in front of them they are going to keep chasing after it, and do whatever it takes to be able to bite that carrot right into the New World! (So they think!)

It is a sad way of life for them. We are so glad we are out of that prison.

Thanks jgnat, and have a wonderful Christmas and happy New Year!

    Cheers! Atlantis & Nevada-(Dodadagohvi!)

Confirmed from this week's WT study, WT Nov 15, 2006, page 22, par 6 "If you were to go headlong in to sin, the consequences could be tragic, for Jehovah figuratively blocks the approach of rebellious ones as with a cloud mass so that their prayers may not pass through to him. (Lamentations 3:42-44)."

From this study article, it appears the most despised sinners are adulterers and apostates.

"Jehovah WILL not hear your prayers any longer. Only Satan can hear you now."

This is precisely what was said to me by the entire JC at my 'hearing' circus vargas, including one member whom my mother ultimately ended up marrying AFTER HE DISFELLOWSHIPPED ALL OF HER CHILDREN.

THAT statement above WAS the most damaging to my spirit, at the time.

I've since been able to kill all of those belief systems. Yet, the scars remain, forever. As scars do.
