jgnat:
Some JWs would hold fast to whatever comes forth from Mother-Org! But I have known many JWs that feel that it would be up to whether a disfellowshipped person was showing repentance, and many would say that it would be up to Jehovah because He can read the heart.
There are many JWs that do show empathy even when the Borganization does not. Some JWs try to show concern for a disfellowshipped person, its just that they don't want to get caught.
When Nevada and I are in Wal-Mart for instance, several JWs have walked up to us and shook our hands and had a nice conversation with us as long as it was not concerning spiritual matters. But, if they think that they might get noticed by another JW who might be in the store, then they hurry-away to secure their spiritual safety.
I speak with an Elder on a regular basis and he knows exactly who I am knowing full well I am disfellowshipped, and in fact, he purchases items from Randy Watters whenever something new is advertised.
He sends me books from right behind the literature counter on a regular basis. The book I posted, "What Does The Bible Really Teach" came from him!
Thanks jgnat!
Cheers! Atlantis.
