Hey everyone, I'm new here and I would really like to discuss your views on who Jesus is.

Please feel free to list any scripture, and I will do the same.

Here are a few scriptures that may help:

    1. In the book of Isaiah 7:14 Jehovah prophesied that there would be a child born of a virgin, and that His name would be Immanuel, which means God with us.

14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel (which means God with us).

    2. In the book of John, Jesus also encourages us to pray to Him by saying "If you ask anything in my name, I will do it."

    John 14:14
If you askanything in My name, I will do it.

    3. Here are a few instances of people worshipping Jesus:

    Matthew 2:11
And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshipedHim. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

    Matthew 8:2
And behold, a leper came and worshipedHim, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”

    Matthew 9:18
While He spoke these things to them, behold, a ruler came and worshipedHim, saying, “My daughter has just died, but come and lay Your hand on her and she will live.”

    Matthew 14:33
Then those who were in the boat came and worshipedHim, saying, “Truly You are the Son of God.”

Anyways, I hope this helps. Please write back, and I'm looking forward to meeting all of you!

Hey everyone! As far as the mythological stuff, I know my God. He answers my prayers, and I can definately say that He is there. If He is there, then the bible is definately true.

Anyways, I hope yall (that's right I'm from texas) are doing well.

Peace to you all in the name of the Lord.

    Welcome, Finder.

Please tell me, if I choose not to accept or worship your chosen deity, what do you believe my future holds?

Wow, that's what I call proof:

Hey everyone! As far as the mythological stuff, I know my God. He answers my prayers, and I can definately say that He is there. If He is there, then the bible is definately true.

How do you know it was god that answered your prayer? could have been just a ca-winka-dinky. By the same logic someone who believed in Zeus, or Santa Clause could say since I prayed to these deities and I got what I asked for proves they exist.

    Welcome Soulfinder.

It would be better , if you figured out who Jesus is yourself. I will give you something to research for a start. The Bible records that Jesus spoke of the Flood of Noah and destruction of the whole world as a real historical event. Should you ever decide that the Flood of Noah did not destroy all the people and animals of the world except Noah, his family and the animals on the Ark, then you will have to decide why Jesus didn't know his facts any better. If you are satisfied that the Flood of Noah did happen just as the Bible said, then you will have your answer about Jesus, too. I was always taught that God can't make a mistake or be mistaken about anything. Perhaps, God doesn't define Himself in those terms. Then again, maybe humans can never define the true nature of God.

Jesus could have been anybody. Some people say he was just a militant Socialist, some say he was a Jewish freedom fighter and as we know the bible writers claim that he was the son of God. So who knows? In the case of the Bible how did he prove he was the son of God? By miracles you say! So who knows if he REALLY did the miracles the scriptures say he did. Was it the bible writers just adding that in? Or was all the miracles just tricks? Was he just a David Blane of his day?
