Outlaw:
Squirrels die because they run under the wheels of my truck when I`m driving..The rest my dog eats.
Has anyone called you an OOPIC lately?! LOL
Why do plants die?
Animals eat them.
Why do animals die?
People eat them.
Why do people die?
God eats them...unless they get run over by OUTLAW's truck.
they die because they are tasty
with BBQ sauce
Did god create life such as viruses and bacteria which would only make us sick. If we as humans get sick abdicate die supposedly because were sinfull then why do animals get sick and develop diseases such as cancer? NONE of it makes sense! What about the bloodsucking mosquito?! Why would Jehovah who views blood as sacred and as the soul being in the blood create such a sinful creature?
Hmmm... that is some typo!
I don't think any religious belief has a total and satisfying answer about death. I like to think there's something after, and humans certainly do worry about that more than, say, basset hounds. There is definitely a circle of life, but I'm not sure where that circle takes us after death. I don't think we're meant to know. I think we're meant to do the best we can in life and then we'll find out about what comes after.

Welcome to the board!!
Ask yourself, what would happen if they did not die? Yeah, the earth would be overridden with animals! And not all of them are warm and fuzzy.
Death has a purpose. Like in the LIon KIng"- "the circle of life". It's the natural order of things. That's why some animals naturally prey on other animals, and other animals naturally eat only animals that are already dead. Sometime it sucks, but it's the way it's supposed to be.
I very vaguely recall my father explaining to me about 50 yrs ago they died so that Adam would understand what death was and what would happen to him if he ate the forbidden fruit.
I think it was the book, THE TRUTH THAT LEADS TO ETERNAL LIFE (circa 1968) that spun the idea that Adam and Eve knew what death meant by seeing animals die.
I recall asking the question: "But, the death Adam and Eve died was "spiritual" not physical when they sinned (In the DAY YOU EAT OF IT YOU SHALL SURELY DIE), so, it can't be that, can it?"
?The looks I got weren't pleasant.
How did Adam and Eve know what death was MEANT in the warning if it was a "spiritual" death followed 900 years later by physical death? The answer, of course, is that this naive story is full of holes in reasoning, logic and explication!
I use to work with a zealous (read: fanatic) christian lady who told me all death entered the world because Adam sinned. I smiled and asked her this:
"What about the dinosaurs? The lived and died for millions of years before Adam and Eve. Why did they die?"
Like most Christians she simply did not even want to THINK about dinosaurs.
Further, another incident...
My best friend growing up, Johnny, (the guy who brought me into the "Truth" (shudder) had a similar reaction to my dinosaur question. He replied thus:
"There are millions of living creatures in my anus I don't understand, I'm not going to lose my faith over any creatures during any time period that I don't comprehend."
A rather astonishing reply, actually!!
I personally think that animals might be reincarnated. I dont believe they go to heaven.
A better question is: "If animals were supposed to live forever, why are so many of them carnivores?"
James, thanks for your welcome and your comment!
I'm also a beginner of Bible-learning:) It's a great place here that i can find interesting issues and topics about God and Bible!
I don't think animals will live forever in the new system paradise earth, and I agree with the opinion that God never said in Bible that animals have to live forever, and in this way, Adam and Eve would watch animals die and would probably understand what "death" means when God told them not to eat from the tree of the knowlege of good and bad or they may die.
