I would love to see this brought out on the talk shows. If Im not mistaken, Grace (Mouthy) said she was on the Sally Jesse Rafael show awhile back.

Exposing the JW's should not be limited just to TV talk shows. All of my male friends and myself can not stand Oprah or Dr. Phil and NEVER watch them. It would be good exposure but a huge chunk of people still would not see it. Radio talk shows would reach many groups that don't watch Oprah. I know Tom Leykus is very critical of all organized religion and I would be willing to bet he would do a topic on them. Radio talk shows are also longer then TV talk shows are and therefore need more material/topics each day.

Any ex JW that has written a book about JW's could have thier publicist contact the syndicated radio talk shows to promote thier book. That way the company that owns the program is absolved from any liability for slander. I have heard alot of very boring and dry authors on some very popular talk shows and always wondered how did they get on?

I believe any source that will let you in should be explored.

I have spoken to church groups and appeared on local cable access. I would gladly do it again if the opportunity arouse. I generally confine my discussion to things they can't dispute because it's in writing - blood fraction policies, false prophecies, higher education, disfellowshipping. When I was doing this the pedophile issue wasn't on the radar. If asked I'd say I have no personal knowledge of it, but the "two witness" rule is in their literature and I can see how this impacts the problem. That would get the information out there without getting into legal issues.

I'm currently trying to find an agent for a novel I've written based loosely on my experience as a witness. If I can get published that should be a good vehicle for discussion of cult issues.

It might be fun to get a Judical Committee on the Jerry Springer Show and throw a chair or two.

Would Dubs watch a TV show with a bunch of xjw's? If so how many? Not, trying to be neg about this. I can just see my mom, who watches Oprah and Dr. Phil seeing this and changing the Channel. However I don't see as meny Dubs changing the channel on a show. that appears on Dateline or CNN. Just my 2cents. the rock

Bravo all who have had success in getting things out there!!

Who has great tits so they can go on Howard Stern?? Any JW's that are watching him are not likely too persuaded by the societies rules as it is!!LOL!

I wonder if basically starting a petition listing people on this site (and/ or elsewhere) who WANT such a show aired could get more leverage, whether with Dr. Phil, Oprah, Tom Leykey (sp?), or whomever. And a separate listing of people willing to talk/ give their stories to be shared could be offered as well. Let them see the strong throng of air-time supporters for this subject. Anyone up for spearheading this? I kind of have a full plate right now for taking on 'collection,' but I'm certainly willing to add voice to both lists.

Just keeping an ongoing thread alive with people posting to say they want this should be a good start.... Someone could undertake bringing it to the right people with the right power to do something with it. Megsmomma, would you want to start a new topic thread to get the ball rolling?

Coast to Coast AM is always looking for "the world is comming to an end and the sky is going to fall" speakers and authors. An ex JW could offer to debate with an active JW. The active would not come on the show since they interview wicans, pagans, alien abductees etc. The EX JW would have the floor to speak about thier escape from a mind controlling cult.

The show's producers would want someone who has at least written a book to offer some intelligent dialogue. C2C is on seven nights a week for three and sometimes four hours. They need an endless supply of guests.

I love coast to coast. It is the funniest show ever. Sometimes it is interesting to me because of the topics, but mostly it is funny as hell to hear people talk about certain things to do with aliens, conspiracies, etc.
