"Woe to the shepherds who are destroying and scattering the sheep of my
pasture!" -- Jeremiah 23:1
Allow me to tell you a story. It is a lengthy story, and a difficult
one. But it is also an important one.
Was It Easy For You To Leave "The Truth"?

"that's just it, you seem pretty happy. But that's because Satan isn't attacking you any more."
They can't leave it alone, can they?
They can't stand that someone "left" and isn't miserable so they have to go out of their way to try to bring that person down...try to make them feel bad for being happy. Even when someone indicates that all is well, they fall back to the old "Satan isn't attacking you anymore" or "Life only seems easier because you aren't staying busy with Kingdom interests" bullshit.

It definitely wasn't easy leaving 'the truth'. Not because of leaving behind the beliefs, that bit is easy.
But being shunned by all your friends and family is a different matter. But the more they do it the less I want to go back, so I guess that doesn't work eh?

Yes i found it fairly easily because i saw & experienced the end product of living a life as a JW. Which was negative emotions & feelings of despair and sometimes depression brought about by a lengthy programme of burdensome rules, regulations & duties. At the end of all this it just felt like i'd been set free! So yes for me it was sort of opposite of the scripture at John 8:32; 'You will know the truth and the truth will set you free'
YEAH RIGHT

Was your life totally disrupted? No. Did you lose a lot of family and friends? All of them. It was worth it to escape from the fate that awaits all the deceived people who hang on to every utterance out of Bethel, though.

Yes it was easy, my belly was full, I have seen enough of the hypocrisy, the false hoods, the good ole boy system, the lies, the deciet and the hatred coupled with a big friendly smile and gritting teeth.

At least you know what the real world's all about now.

No, not the opposite at all - just a paradigm shift. You did come to know the truth (about the Truth) and that's the truth that set you free.

It wasn't easy at all. My whole social network collapsed and my beleif structure. Family support was very weak. The irony, was that they told me, I was taking the easy way out! Glad I never gave up!

It wasn't an easy decision for me. But only cause I had to leave my sisters and brother. Other than that, it was an easy decision. I lost all the friends I ever had.
