Going back to the jw's would be like a dog going back to its vomit.

And not even a good grade of vomit.

Since the Society is rotten from the top down, it's a no-brainer to never want to return back to the corruption (leaven)

Nothing they do to "entice" me would work. Why would I want to go back to untruth? The whole religion is based on a lie(s).

For me to go back meetings and service would have to be optional. Oh, and instead of boring talks, there would have to be ping pong tournaments. And they'd have to turn the literature counter into a bar and serve free drinks. The brother in charge of sound would be required to play CDs I wanted to hear. A disco ball might be nice too. And some pony rides for the kids. Yeah, I might consider it then.

I am sick to death of the very concept of organized religion. Once I'm totally gone, I'll be gone for good.

....if all disfellowshipping/other punitive actions were completely reversed

I would love to see this. A mass exodus (including me) would happen.
So many faders or "active for the social or family reasons" folks would
head for the door. Great idea.

Nowadays, (partly thanks to the internet)
there are good support groups for ex jws.

Few feel the same loneliness than formerly was common.

I also find that those who leave can be more resolved in their decision,
since research materials are readily available to confirm the truth of WTS.

That being said, fewer seem to feel the 'need' to return.

I would not go back even if they offered pancakes laced with gold. Never, never, never. not for anyone or anything. I value what I have right now in Christ.

I agree with most, I dont think I would go back. Just the whole concept or 'organised' religion has left a sour taste in my mouth. How arrogant is it for one religion to stand up and say "We've got it right, everyone else has got it wrong!"

Can't be doing with that at all.

I would never go back to that cult.
