I have a phobia of being in a misunderstanding without the ability to defend myself.

I can't stand going through tight narrow spaces perhaps I feel I will get trapped and suffocate. Rats I loath rather than fear that could be instinctive or part of the collective memory in us because rats are loaded with diseases at least the ones that live in cities. They certainly like filthy places. As for funnel spiders they do have a very dangerous venom but there is an effective anti venom to it.

I didn't think I had any phobias until last year I needed to have an MRI and I freaked out so bad in the machine that I nearly broke it.
It took me 10 minutes to compose myself.
I was always claustraphobic, it something that I just developed.
I am determined to overcome it somehow.

But I doubt I'll be "spelunking" anytime soon,....:-)

LOL Twich ... Well I've thought about trying elastic jump (don't know how you call this) but since I've heard about that native indian who was climber (by hands only - nothing else) nothing never happened to him ... and one day he jumped with an elastic and thats how he died (the elastic had a problem) ... So now I'm like ... yeah sure ... Wait, wait, wait ...

Oh my god I hate it. It's so bad that I can just watch something on TV with a person climbing a cliff, or paragliding, whatever...my heart races, my jaw clenches, palms sweat profusely.....hell, I'm sweating all over my keyboard right now just thinking about it. I can't even stand to look out the window of a highrise building.
Me and my boyfriend went on vacation and stayed in this 2 level cabin. On the 2nd level there was a jacuzzi tub and we were just in there chilling...then I started imagining the weight of 2 people in the tub being too much and the entire level crashing to the ground. I had to get out for a few minutes until I calmed down.
It's pretty bad.

I just had an interesting flashback to my youth as a dub. I would never mention what really scared me because I was afraid that Satan would use it against me during persecution. An elder told me that after a sister mentioned to us that she had a fear of dark places.
