WHAT THRESHOLD IS THAT,BERNADETTE?
When I looked up the figs for my x cong for each year it said 'below threshold.' But noticed that the figs on display on page 1 of this topic doesn't say that. -

Could 'Below Threshold' be a reporting threshold? Often in taxation of less is earned than a certain level there is no need to report it as it is below the threshold.

Are they hiding the money somewhere, to show a loss on the books? Just a thought. You know how a little theocratic dishonesty is OK. Thay way, they can keep claiming to be non-profit and all that.

Good point Virgochick! I wondered if they made regular donations to Bethel to keep their bank accounts 'down'. That way Bethel always got money, plus the money they made from the mags and the congs just continued to muddle through with their finances.
Now if donations actually dropped so as not to be able to afford expenses, it wouldn't be long before Brooklyn Bethel itself was beginning to suffer from financial hardship.

Here's another oddity from one Birmingham cong'

That wouldn't cover the electricity bill for the year? They had 10x the income for their expenditure that year. It doesn't seem that they do much in the way of Human Resources for Volunteers/Staff, Buildings and counseling.

Congregation of 150 pubs., they are usually receiving approx. $400 to 600 a month which barely covers
the expenses.
They can get by only because there are multiple congs. using the same hall.
You go to an evangelical church and usually that's the amount that one person donates ( 10% of their income )
I think i'll keep the money in my pocket.
