Let's suppose you have documentary evidence that every miracle recorded in the Bible actually
occurred as written. Would this be enough to prove that the Bible can be relied on? That it is
"God's Word"?
NO!
Why not? because there is no possible way to disprove the idea that these miracles were
staged by extraterrestrials , trying to improve the human race.
Does that idea sound extreme? or ridiculous? If so, please consider that such a reaction is merely
a habit of thinking and not a logical response.
Our world easily accepts that ordinary people - who may be doctors, lawyers, scientists or politicians
- can believe that the Red Sea parted at Moses' command or that Jesus was raised from the dead
and appeared to hundreds of disciples. Such people are not grabbed and thrown into lunatic
asylums as psychotic for believing such things - thus, thinking that past miracles were a product
of highly advanced extraterrestrials is no more fantastic than what is already accepted as being
within the societal boundaries of what is "rational".
The above may be the reason why evangelist Pat Robertson is rumored to have called for
"UFO believers" to be stoned to death! If you convert "angels" and "demons" into flying
saucer inhabitants, you have just pulled the rug out from under all revealed religion!
did events like this really happen?

I don't know. I suspect that the US government knows a lot more that it is telling but nevertheless
I don't see how the "extraterrestrial alternative" can be overcome as an argument against revealed
religion. It is no more "ridiculous" than mass beliefs that already exist.
If you are a lurker here, you might want to remember that, next time you're sitting through another
boring Watchtower study.....
